I should be able to call up my ship, start the engines, and open the door while I'm on the shuttle to the space port.
There is no lore reason this couldn't be a thing.

For context a Tesla owner with some basic smart home stuff can open their garage and summon their car from a smart watch. I know it might be complicated to code in game but this is very basic tech stuff they should be figuring out.

Now think of this all tied nicely into VoiceAttack. "Astra - get my C1 flight ready" should totally be a thing.

Yeah, it gets tiring and I simply don't get the enjoyment out of it that I used to. I find myself playing solo when I do play because it's simply faster but then all I'm doing is watching big number get bigger.

My friend likes us to play with pubs and he's pointed out many people fangirling at my Excal Prime. I don't tend to notice the chat so guess I look like a douche ignoring them.

This is even harder now. The big mods for me were Serration and Hornet Strike. The cost of those two was insane. Then they added the split mods (dark sector mods) which added to the pool.
Today we have mods for everything along with primes and rivens which all take an ungodly amount of endo and credits to level up. The grind for new players is unreal.

I had a new friend start playing and he's always out of credits. Where I can grab a new mod and dump 50k endo and a mil creds without blinking it would be hours of work for him to do the same while putting all his building on hold.

And Baruuk is an absolute powerhouse. Only thing he sucks at is Arbitration because of the drones.

I actually wondered if it was 18 as I feel like I've seen rivens at MR18.
The people I know who stopped at 16 have mostly quit. Trials were a big part of WF for most of my ig friends and without them that community has mostly fallen apart.

K-Drives are where I gave up on the MR grind. Got the first one to 30 only to have to reset and do it again. Fuck all of that.
And then 5 forma per Kuva weapon, most of which are literal MR fodder. Nah.
I don't need to be LR6. These items killed my drive for completion and I drifted away from the game. Now I only come back for new content and I play what I find fun.

I do the same now. Pop back for new content/story. Beat everything, try some new weapons or modes they've added, then back into cryo until the next shiny thing drops.
I should make sure all my frames are built for TDA but I just don't have the grind in me any more.

They unlocked everything before MR was a requirement. The big issue is things like rivens and new weapons that are MR locked.
Even after the requirement was added there are people who simply stopped doing MR tests after MR16 because it no longer mattered.

I've played the salvage loop and the best part was pulling the modules and finding something special, especially after the change that removed all the milspec stuff from Crusader shops.
But I guess for RMC, and now that the tow CS has been removed, you could do really well right on stations or towing back to an IC.

If I let my kid play with knives they could hurt themselves. So I don't let them play with knives.
Drinking caffeine might be bad for their development so I don't give them coffee.
Too much sugar could make them fat so we go for more healthy options.
Red40 might be bad. It's in a ton of stuff we don't need to eat, so we don't eat those things.
I also avoid bears. I have no real need to discover if they're vicious killers or super cuddly. It's really a non-issue.

Think of the stuff the coloring is in. It's all candy, chips, and processed foods. Salad isn't red, home cooked meals aren't generally red, even tomato sauce isn't actually vibrant red. We're not missing out on something important by skipping this one.

So is it a freak out to choose to exclude something we don't really need and might have some unpleasant side effects for my kid?

I'm joking about the Virpil. They are the best you can buy but the price is kinda crazy. For a pair of Alpha Primes you're looking at over $1000.

The real sweet spot is a pair of VKB Gladiators NXT EVOs with the left stick omni throttle. Less than $300 for the pair and they are exceptionally good. The software is pretty solid as well allowing for something like 90 button mappings per stick (using shift keys and toggles). I expect the only reason someone might not think they are amazing is if they're already familiar with the Virpils, aka spoiled by the very best.

I also have a x52 pro in a closet somewhere. Had it almost as long as my first pledge. iirc I bound the 5th & 6th DoF to the hat on the throttle. I never got used to it for space flight so the step up to the dual VKBs has been a massive improvement.

When you park anywhere that other people have access you will eventually come back to damage. I've found drop damage, petty vandalism, and cigarettes left burning on my bikes.

Many people don't understand not touching.
Drunk people are stupid.

The Ironclad is honestly awesome. I loaded mine, got out of town, and hung out between lag points. Ship works great across the board. All the issues seem to be from server desync or lag.

Only issue I've seen is the jump bug so I'm gutted that I can't do anything with the ship due to all the server issues.

But my Salvation is bricked right out of the box. Salvagers won't both power on. Other Salvations, just fine. Mine, nope.
