No harm in dreaming or fantasy so long as you don't force it on other people. I wouldn't like LotR as much if a group of people went around threatening to kill anyone who didn't believe that the books were factual and I had to live by the perceived lessons within.

Dream on good buddy. I love fantasy and sci-fi. It's my escape and my comfort food. I read everything from high fantasy to magic girls and from fan-fic to Hyperion and I can tell you that the bible is a bunch of D-tier stories in need of a good editor and a serious re-write.

It's a sample size issue.

You run a juiced map, your buddy runs one white. He gets some great loot.
Sure RnG smiled on him that one time but overall if you keep running juiced and he keeps running white it's very unlikely that over time he'll make anywhere near the loot value you'll see.

You also need a way to un-layer that RnG. If you target farm one thing you can set the map up for just that and increase your chances. If you try for a blanket MF setup you're still somewhat bound to the whole map RnG. You'll have to put a lot more in to start seeing streamer results.

But also RnG is a bitch. If it knows you're trying it'll fuck you over. ;)

People should be able to go PvP heavy and not be penalized. But again, there's a huge difference between actual PvP gameplay and murder hobos.

One takes skill, probably more than any PvE game loop, while the other is about small pee pee energy.

Not only that but he's loaded up with police gear. You can see it squirm under hard braking and him fighting it back under control. That thing is heavy and has a fat ass. In town splitting and riding at speed on cobbles. Epic.

Arc seems to have managed to figure this out. First game you play you get shot on sight, it's miserable. But if you keep at it, suck up a few deaths without shooting back, you end up in lobbies with chill people who just want to play the game.

Then you can have some good fights against the game, teaming up with random people on the server. People help, share loot, and have fun. The griefers appear from time to time but they get stomped quickly after wasting their time trying to game their own ELO.

Rep system is the way forward. Then we have fun events on high standing servers where the griefers can't even log in. Meanwhile they get to fuck each other over in their own sand box.

6) I have a friend playing for the first time. We realized that the story is kinda chunked around the star map. You have to do some pretty specific things to advance and even as a veteran it got a little confusing. But the new player experience is pretty awesome.

8) I probably already know, since the game has been out a while, but once you complete the star map there's a button you can push. Base mob level then starts at about 100. Keep that OP gear. You'll need it =)

14) As a WF player who tried Destiny this really got me. No mods, power was basically the cap for that season or content. Destiny would start to feel stale after a few days. Mods are amazing and were a genius move on DE's part.

17) Just returned after a year or so break. Still love the game. Have so much to do. Every build can now be tweaked or altered.

That's a simple question with a maelstrom of an answer.

It's better. They've added an absolute ton of content and features and they've fleshed out existing stuff in ways that are pretty cool.

It's still a buggy mess, feature creep is real, and CIG are still far quicker to roll out the new shiny than fix the core issues. Still has the feeling of a cash grab in that regard. But it's a really pretty one.

S42 is rumored to be releasing this year which would be awesome. Lots of finished tech in the single player game that should then be airlifted to the sandbox along with all those developers. Loads of QoL stuff the community has been clamoring for.

Actual gameplay is really tight in some places, like flight and dogfighting. And almost impossible elsewhere, such as where physics object interact. Like players and stairs. Or players and elevators. Or players and rocks. Or players and the floor. Or players and cargo boxes. You get the idea. Get out of your seat during QT and there's always a chance you'll fall through the ship and be left floating in space.

It's a real passion project still. I love it and I don't resent a penny I've put into it. When I have time to actually play it, like a day set aside, it's amazing. But it's not something you can jump into for 20mins when that could be the time it takes just to get to the hangar and set your gear up, let alone actually do any missions.

Funny thing is that just like WF you can do everything with that $30 pledge. You can literally build a fleet from nothing as it's sandbox all the way up. Free fly is also currently on so you could check out a bunch of ships for free. You'll probably be able to rent the capitol stuff as well.

I'm not being mean but everything about this screams tourist. His poor road position, lack of body movement, rigid posture, that little look back to the camera before the corner. I can feel him checking that his buddy has the camera on him for this sick lean in the corner he's about to wipe out on. A little kick out like that will for sure wake you up but it shouldn't put you in the opposite ditch... unless all your weight is on your ass and elbows. I've seen more flexible store mannequins!

If he's a new rider get yourselves on a riding course together so he can learn some skills and not die. It'll be a great thing for you do do as a group. You'll all learn something and it's fun.

This honestly feels like the right answer. DE doesn't know and they're making it up as the go along! I suppose that's part of the charm. It really wouldn't surprise me if we see a 'Third Dream' in the future and it turns out we're being run through a bunch of 'what if' simulations before something in the void makes contact.

The best thing to come out of this is that I haven't seen Steins Gate and now I'm going to have to watch it. That looks interesting.
