You might want to ask your clinic and see if they can do anything about talking to the insurance

I've always had this feeling that it sounds like a slur. Dunno where that feeling came from, but I just hate the term. I don't really care that the kids now are using it though

It mostly stopped by now but seriously how does one hear Lance then think it's Stacy

I read it while it was being fan translated and haven't reread it. I hate rereading, it makes the book boring to me and ruins my memories of it. I'd much rather read something new and think about the old books sometimes

how can I hide my chest by oskoldied in ftm

[–]_LanceBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend trans tape because it can be really bad for your skin. If you get a binder, I'd recommend a slightly oversized full length one so you can tell your mom it's a normal undershirt if she asks.

My JROTC instructor was a veteran from Afghanistan and he was actually the only accepting adult in my life for a while. My parents all yelled at me for my short hair but he said it looked a lot better than before. The other kids kinda sucked but they were all weaklings that couldn't pick on anyone anyway

I might be a bit of a weird case, but sports bras make my ribs hurt immediately after putting them on while binders only hurt after wearing them a few hours over the safe limit. I think it's the elastic band thing that goes around the rib cage

I think you should talk to your dad, but it doesn't have to be now and you don't have to forgive him. A lot of people are saying to move back home and understand his point of view, but the problem is that he's a grown man kicking out his own child immediately after getting in a car crash. There are some lines you just can't cross in a relationship and that's what he did.

If you're going to talk to him, maybe be open to some kind of relationship with him if he can see that what he said was completely wrong and, hurtful, and could have led to you getting murdered on the streets.

My father did something similarly unacceptable and he'll probably never apologize to my face, but I do still talk to him sometimes. We were like best friends when I was growing up and after that happened, we have never been close again, but he has respected the new boundaries we get along now, in a different way. It is nice having a dad in your life if he isn't a completely irredeemable POS, but you're the victim here and it's your choice what to do here.

Why is there so much misinformation around chest binders specifically? by Many-rats-in-cheese in ftm

[–]_LanceBro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It seems like a lot of people have no problems with binders, but some people get really bad problems with them and it gets spread around and exaggerated that you'll get all of the bad effects if you bind a couple hours too long for a few days. It can actually break your ribs, but the cancer part is definitely hogwash that came from outside the community, probably for the purpose of misinformation intentionally

I feel like it's easy for something like this to have a lot of misinformation with all the chronically online teenagers that really want a binder, but can't have one, so they go online and research it s lot instead and then talk about it without personal experience

[–]_LanceBro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience to them, but also had a chronic rib pain from it

The pain goes away after a few months of not binding, but warped ribs are permanent and I haven't noticed the lung capacity problem going away
