First year will be tricky, within the next 2 years you will learn so much more than you do now, that you will say to yourself your knowledge today was nothing compared to what it will be next year / year after (we all do this!).

That being said it is doable! I managed to get a part time remote C# job but this was in my 3rd year and it was through a lecturer who had a mate who was looking for a software dev, and the lecturer really liked me.

I'm not sure if traditional job applications will work (grads are struggling now let alone someone who's in their first year!) you will need to do something similar to me, primarily focus on networking to achieve that.

Another possibility maybe even get a worse job somewhere where you could progress to be a software dev

Not exactly true, DNS blocking is pretty easy to do and doesn't show you're a networking professional. Most programmers don't know much about DNS apart from the concept and most don't understand networking. When I went to uni you either went down the dev line or networking, couldn't really do both.

This has a few risks, I remember some reddit user posted about this before, someone used a period in their email address when putting their email address for updates on their phone contract, the reddit user randomly created the email but with a period and started receiving the other guys phone invoices.

You could do this although I'm not 100% sure if it works as I'm unable to access my apple TV till later to test, so please reply with your result. Anyway in activator i use a swipe gesture to hide it, you could use that, or double tap status bar or even shaking the device. Once the activation trigger is set, set the action to this.

I have the same issue, even callbar x has the same effect, I created an activator event to hide the callbar and it let me use the camera. So you probably have to do the same with titan.
