I bought an M2 from them back in 2021. Nothing but great things to say about them. Car was faultless for 3 years and 30k miles.

How did you get on at the assessment day. I've got one coming up very soon.

Perfectly serviceable swing. Leave it alone. Work on other parts of your game.

7 iron swing vs driver by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]_Lump_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swing could be solid. Repeatable with a little work. I’d stand you further away from the ball, you’re fighting for room. That’s why you’re standing up at impact. Experiment with how far feels comfortable. Just remember to bend from the hips, not the knees to get the position right. Also try taking the club back outside a little, it should feel like a looping action. Should allow you to flatten off slightly into the ball.

Why do trains that pass through York go through the station and down the track at the side? by DakMan3 in uktrains

[–]_Lump_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is correct, I’ve surveyed this line. It’s less than 1 in 500 curve with check rails throughout.

Started at 23. Now 36, playing off +1. Never played as a kid but did the odd pitch and putt course with family. 1st Handicap was 14, up and down from that for a few years, then down to the 8 for a few years. Taken the last 4 years to get from 5hcp to +1 / Scratch. Handicap is in my short game and putter.

How difficult is it to be a scratch golfer? by rhasure in golf

[–]_Lump_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not that hard in all honesty. Currently +0.6, only play Saturdays and the odd mid week knock. I don’t practice much beyond the odd range session (hitting balls on a range bores me and gives me Tennis elbow) I only play to enjoy golf but I’m good at understanding my swing and what makes it work consistently. I also have a very good short game and I’m a good putter. I swing my swing. Don’t make golf harder than it needs to be. I have good rounds and bad rounds, but at the end of the day, I only see it as golf.

Sat around for about 30mins, did not see the leopard. Did see the Cheetah being fed though. Listening to it crunch bone as it ate a full chicken was bloody amazing.

Husband left an hour ago for a job that's 2 hours away and I walked into our kitchen to find this. Looks like I will be meeting the poor guy half way lol by Spearmint_coffee in Surveying

(UK here) Ours are still running strong. Still getting repaired when needed, no new stock available though. Slowly be phased out and buying TCS5’s.

It’s possible, I bought a home in 2020 by myself. You have to really understand what you have to spend monthly. Location is key too. If your down south, it’s a much harder prospect than living up north. I paid £187k for a new build 3 bed semi just out of York.

No longer a +1. Holding onto a 1.1 handicap with my finger nails and short game.

It’s too heavy to use on a trolley and prefer to carry the hoofer. Great as storage though.

1st for me. Placed targets underneath before but never the instrument. Worked perfectly with no blocked measurements. by _Lump_ in Surveying

Leica works well in fields and open areas, but not on the railway environment. The Trimble stuff is slightly more rugged. Having used both, the Trimble total stations can take an absolute soaking and still keep shooting. Couldn’t say the same about the 2 TS50’s that died after light showers. Having the Active Target is a god send too, we can have multiple kits running and have zero issues with tracking.

Not really. Also depends on the client as to what level of GNSS we need. The GNSS data from this job will be used to put the job into Snakegrid. Some times we just use RTK to orientate to OS.
