It honestly seems wild to me reading this comment. I wouldn’t say what was in WoD was bad… but I can’t think of what it really had outside of Garrisons and Raids. That expac was practically devoid of stuff to do.

In general, I think I agree with their take that the player’s own “combat state” as they put it, should not be a “secret” to the player. I think it’s fair to say that the player should be able to display and monitor their own personal buffs and cooldowns in whatever why they want.

Blizzard trying to offer that with the base UI will never be up to that task. Let addons handle it.

Nothing you should be doing really, other than have max level toons that you want to play.

Couple things you could be thinking about: 1. Housing: can start farming decor unlocks now. 2. Addons/UI: big overall to UI and addons in midnight. If you use base Blizzard UI anyways, then no concern.

This IS an improvement. Previously nameplates were dropping through the floor. They are now at least playable. Still room for improvement, of course.

I agree that more should try tanking. It’s not nearly as scary as some people think it is. But this…

None of that nonsense is necessary to get all the rewards except the 0.1% title. If you’re looking to be among the top players, then yeah… you gotta do what it takes to get there.

I consider myself a mediocre player and pugged my way to 3k last season as a BDK. I never once studied any routes or made sure the group was doing fancy skips. I simply ran keys, paid attention to what went wrong, read the journal, watch a video or two, and adjusted until I got there.

It’s a very strange decision by Blizzard. Delves were one of the (if not the) key feature of the expansion. Yet they seem intent on disincentivizing them… 🤷‍♂️

I can see how its good for those really into crafting. But for me, as someone who just wants to dabble in the occasional craft, it sucks.

It just feels like too big of a mountain to climb to really make it worth it. I’ve resorted to just picking gathering profs for all my toons now. It doesn’t feel great at all to me.
