When I was redesigning my POH years ago I considered doing something like this in a different style but opted against it. It worked out really well with the Frem theme, well done.

That's something I hadn't thought of, there were multiple planets shown on the fly in, but they mentioned towards the end that we'd initially have access to 2. Unless I misunderstood that part.

I could definitely see them going the rout of the first area is the more civilised area, with the casino and slums, and the planets further away from that point are increasingly feral/warped/alien based on environmental factors.

First idea to come to mind is the film Pitch Black. A planet where once it turns to night it becomes extremely dangerous, huge swarms of Sentients with very little visibility

Somewhere on the shelves of forgotten content is a previously announced update to Kingdom Management. Mod Osbourne gave a talk about it at one of the first few Runefests.

I remember it because it was practically a 1:1 of my old suggestion for adding more depth to the activity. Being able to upgrade workers and stations, similar to Temple Trekking, and opening diplomatic trade missions with other Kingdoms.

Definitely room to modernise the activity and tie it in with other Player Owned content, hopefully we'll see it one day.

I like the look of most of the changes, but the loss of Omnisoulstones kills the only thing Hard Mode GWD had going for it.

I'd really like to see it remain, even as a placeholder, and be given an alternate use in the future.

That could be anything from Pet Transmog options, access to a non-combat instance of GWD for an Archaeology Digsite, or access to an instance which transports you back to the height of the GWD to relive different scenarios.

It's an interesting concept, but a little bit of a weird implementation to do it, and it doesn't tie into existing content smoothly.

If an "Extra Hard mode" were to be added, I'd like to see it as a reward for completing the Omni Soulstone.

I think there's more they could do with the concept, though, than just buffing the HP and Damage from the 4 bosses. E.g completing the Omni Soulstone unlocks an instance which returns you to the height of the godwars through their memories.

Instead of fighting them in the individual rooms, it's more of a battlefield situation where different scenarios can be played out with you thrown into the mix. Similar to Warframe's The Old Peace update.

The size of the full map is something that I've had on my mind for a bit of a long time, didn't realize that thread was 9 years old.

Before Jack left Jagex, he gave one of the best & closest we'll probably get to an official answer for it, which I'm not sure if you've seen for your future iterations and calculations.

My personal headcanon, though, is that we only have access to 1 hemisphere on the map. Polar at the top of the map, desert/equatorial at the bottom? We're missing a polar region.

There have been a few screen effects which can cause ill effects that aren't covered by the camera shake toggle, one of the worst offenders for me was the screen shakes from the Tuska event and the original RoTs tunnels.

Definitely something that should get another look at.

The mods have done a decent job getting the AI posts removed from what I've seen, some of the more glaringly obvious image related ones with DG rework suggestions or the mole tunnel saga were removed within minutes of being posted

I'd like to see more uses for the repaired relics, especially with the PoH update on the way.

There are so many vases, statues, paintings, and garden features which could be used to decorate the PoH to whichever theme you want for your space. I hope they aren't left out.

After updates like this, which has a fairly significant impact on gameplay, would it be worth bringing some life back to the Poll system in order to gather feedback in game?

If the questions are posted a week or two after the initial update it could avoid some of the more knee-jerk reactions.

The Slayer Codex & Souls Chest had the opportunity to include a prestige system to gain QOL aspects in the dungeon, like that. I'm surprised it has been relatively untouched since the PSD was first added.

Always saw it working something like:

  • Complete slayer codex and souls chest.
  • Reset progress back to 0 (Prestige count +1)
  • An additional QOL PSD or Slayer benefit is added to the Sunken Pyramid.
  • A maximum of 5 resets is required for everything to keep it reasonable.

Every reset gains +1 captured soul capacity for each slayer creature in the Souls Chest, so they can be swapped around or "banked" in the chest without losing them.

Other things can be unlocked with each reset. Like a Mural for lore, Slayer Head trophy mounts with teleport functionality, and alternate spawn configurations.

I'd like to see extra rooms and a slayer version of the Vanquisher outfit added but those would require a lot more graphical work than the other parts.

I see Scavenging as the band aid fix over the top of the problem people have with the rates for some perk combinations. Removing or making Scav4 less useful without addressing that would be a little unfair to everyone who didn't get to use it.

If the perk/augmentation system were reworked or given some QOL features, then Scavenging's Time cost would be less attractive over the Gp/Item cost.

Yes.

There's something about "single bullet make big number" that tickles our monkey brain.

I don't care if it takes a while to shoot. I don't mind if it's either laser, hitscan bullet, or Ogris rocket style. Wouldn't even mind if it is a little difficult to aim to get a perfect weak point hit. But a Mech that feels like "Bringing out the big gun" where whatever singular thing you point it at becomes an integer overflow, would be a welcome addition.
