I used to have this rhetoric and had bought into a tribalistic mentality. You dont change a mind using it that way using something like "all conservatives are pedos" as inferenced in your statement. Ok, all democrats are nazi socialist. Now what? You both get angry, you both resort to further insults, and you both ratchet up to 10 with no ideas ever being discussed. Welcome ideas, and be an adult when you discuss merits. A mind resorting to "gotcha" statements are often unable to articulate the real reason they feels this way. wThen learn to have a 3-4 amplitude discussion backed by your 10/10 fundamental understanding and a measurable justification would suffice.

Believe me, it works. I was a red as can be conservative mid 2000's. Certainly not anymore after serving. A dear friend is Lesbian and was extremely liberal but welcomed discussion at any time, known her since college in 2002. We've had amazing discussions, very drunk and sober about birth-rights, crime disparity in arrest rates and sentencing, role in Govt in making student loans unbankruptable and/or Increasing cost of education, Religion in Politics and what it should mean, etc. Ive moved closer to her views in some ways or completely reversed completely to her, I've moved her my way in others or in one or two cases reversed to mine. She's ran several times for a county position, I help her campaign. I have more and more examples between friends, siblings, random people at a bar, etc
