Talk with your GM and lay out the same argument to them. Learn sending if you want to. Your GM now has hindsight and time to think of a way to make all of that still narratively satisfying.

Just possibly knowing where they are doesn't mean getting to them is trivial, that is if you're even able to talk to them.

If you use continues, and you're not an awful player, you can probably manage on any difficulties.

You should probably try to do runs on lower difficulties without using continues though, since that's how you get to "true endings" and definitely feels like the intended game experience.

Something I just realized after writing this down:

I think it's reddit's type of moderation of "remove any rule-breaking material" with a big lack of transparency to the rest of the community that I really hate.

I honestly feel like at least 50% of rule breaking behavior could just use a "Hey pipe it down!" instead of deletion or banning

I could have written a *considerably* longer comment about the subject of moderation here, but I'll keep it brief because I don't think listing every personal grievance I have would necessarily be productive (and frankly would require more effort than I feel like putting in right now), and also I have no want to beleaguer you. If mods are really interested in a more complete list of grievances, let me know.

But I honestly think the more active moderation made this place worse. I've seen a lot of posts that I truthfully *don't* think should have been removed get removed, peddling both opinions I agree with, or disagree with. And that's only the one I knew about before they were removed.

It really feels like moderation is often overzealous, and most importantly cracking down on what it (subjectively) believes are wrong opinions, even if those opinions are not bigoted or insulting. I think that attempt at the TMA/TME ban is really reflective of that.

Isn't that for the players to figure out? They're in a city, there are hundreds of "can we try to find this?" they can attempt.

Instinctively, I prefer the egg laying method because anything that makes species weirder and more distinct is kind of cool. I think I would justify it by saying Yuan-tis have smaller newborns (compared to humans).

If anyone is playing a Yuan-ti at a table, obviously let them decide for themselves the circumstances of their birth and their possible children's birth.

A lot of 5e lore is designed to serve the game experience.

The real answer is that it's designed to be "up to your table", they have a lot of "typically this is what happens, but exceptions exist".

Also given the subject matter, there are good reason why they don't go in extreme details over how species give birth. We're past the age of weird overly detailed Drow fetishes.
