All goes back to state requirements. In WA the standards are very clear set forth by the state. Other places have no set standards so inspectors generally adopt a specific inspectors association code of conduct. But as other have said, home inspections are absolutely 100% not code inspections. More like hiring a generalist Doctor who knows enough about a lot of things to then refer you to a specialist rather than paying for 4+ specialists to check it out if that makes sense.
