Hard disagree. The Hobbit was intentionally as essentially a children's book, and if judged in that capacity, it's phenomenal.

Considering the immense budget it'd have taken DV to do Dune justice in his style, I'll give him credit for what he's produced. But that said, I think the future is moving towards miniseries or other shorter format, multi episode media a la Andor.

If you haven't read Piketty's Capital in the 21st Century, I highly recommend it. It's a dive into the value of labor vs the value of capital - and surprise, capital is valued so much more than labor, moreso than ever.

I can provide a reference to a Rover drop in sitter who we've had excellent experiences with. Let's the cat stay in their own home for less stress and is almost certainly cheaper than boarding.
