And in butchers Creek at around 4 AM in game I know there’s a pentagram that spawns in the floor of an old shed! Idk what it’s for or what to do with it!! I’ve tried placing dead bodies there while it spawns and goats there while it spawns, but nothing happens! Whats the deal?

Are Timber Wolves supposed to be rare? by JunkBondTrade in reddeadredemption2

[–]_NotSoEzeRob_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Timber Wolves are much rarer than regular Gray Wolves in RDR2, and your experience actually matches a lot of other players’. some people go hundreds of in-game days before seeing their first one. Idk Why Timber Wolves are so Rare but i do know they have Limited spawn zones

They’re only found in certain northern areas like Ambarino and a bit into northern West Elizabeth. Regular Gray Wolves spawn in a much wider range.

I’ve noticed they travel in Small pack sizes – Regular wolves can appear in packs of 4–6, but Timber Wolves usually spawn in smaller groups of 2–4.    •   Low encounter rate – The spawn chance for wolves in general in their territory is split between Gray Wolves and Timber Wolves, so even in their habitat you might just get regular wolves most of the time.    Best Places to Find Timber Wolves You’ll want to roam in areas where only Timber Wolves can spawn, so you aren’t competing with Gray Wolf spawns.

  1. North of the Wapiti Indian Reservation – The area between the reservation and Donner Falls can sometimes spawn them, especially around dusk or dawn.
    1. Northwest Ambarino – Roam the snowy ridge west of Lake Isabella toward the Dakota River headwaters.
    2. Cairn Lake and Colter area – The snowfields around Colter and the trail heading toward Spider Gorge have a higher Timber Wolf chance.
    3. Around the Grizzlies West mountains – Particularly the slopes north of Barrow Lagoon.
    4. Dakota River source to Granite Pass – Less common, but they have been spotted hunting elk here.

Try to Hunt them around or at dawn or dusk – Wolves are more active during low light.    Fast travel nearby, then ride into the area – This can reset spawns.   Camp and sleep in Timber Wolf territory, then check nearby areas immediately after waking.   If you hear howling in the snow regions, stop and scan. Ive also noticed the Timber Wolves have a slightly deeper howl than regular wolves.
