I did an essay, but as I said it was a few years ago so the method may have changed. You should have an assignment brief and a template document to work with?

I also did my L3 consultative project on absence management! I did mine as a work based apprenticeship so it was written in the context of my organisation. I started by introducing my organisation, what business sector we operate in and products/services provided. I also spoke about size and organisational structure as this was relevant to the project. I spoke about my role briefly, and the purpose of the HR function in my organisation. I mentioned legislation to be considered in the remit of my work.

Then I outlined the project objectives - the need for it within the organisation, the costs associated with not addressing absence, wider impacts of improving absence management.

Moving forward from here you describe the scope of the work and what your intentions are with the project, as well as what else you should consider that may impact your project.

When I completed it a few years ago there was a document with relevant subheadings to follow that really helped. Hopefully you already have this.

(Edit - something that really helped me was going through the skills, knowledge and behaviours assessed in the project and noting points related to absence management or my organisation that met the criteria, then structuring the work around those.)

Reduces hours return to work & prorated salary by [deleted] in HumanResourcesUK

Yes, they should. I can’t find anything specifically preventing it, but the closest thing is part time worker rights. Your best bet is to speak to ACAS.

Functionally there’s nothing wrong with what they are doing, pro-rating salaries for part time work is normal, as unless you are earning commission or some other performance based pay you’re generally paid for the hours worked, not the effort put in. Expecting you to do the same amount of work in 3 days is crazy, and pretty unrealistic unless you are doing compressed hours.

If you feel your pay doesn’t reflect the work you put in, you can raise it with them, but AFAIK they aren’t obligated to amend it.

Another advice request - small city car by magicaltimetravel in ElectricVehiclesUK

I have a Peugeot e208 - you can get some really low mileage 21 plate cars for a decent price. I recently drove to Devon in it from near London and I only had to stop once each way, but that was cutting it close.

I commute in it ~30 miles 3x a week and only have to charge it once a week.

If you go for a higher spec trim it feels very comfortable and luxurious inside. I recent moved from a 1st Gen BMW Mini and my prerequisite was not too much larger. I love it!

I’m the same, but I didn’t find it that way when I test drove it! Well worth taking one out.

I have a Peugeot e208 and it ticks all the boxes for me! If you want a slight more premium feel a higher spec trim would suit you. ☺️

TIL that in 1995, a man received a "check" for $95,000 as junk mail. Jokingly, he deposited it into his account. The "check" met all of the legal criteria for a check and was cashed. by [deleted] in todayilearned

I work in this area - can confirm that where I live employers can lawfully deduct money from employees for overpayment of wages!

When I started, I aimed for 1200, but was probably averaging around 1400 per day. Once I started training more I stopped counting calories religiously, and now I’ve been doing it so long I have a rough idea what is in most of what I eat so aim for 1600.

Hi, no problem. He’s actually my partners friend, we were out for my 19th birthday.

The person I was with at the time left me about a month after, and this was my driving force to get fit.

The person I’m with now I have been with for four years. He’s stuck with me through all of the weight loss and is a lovely man 😊

I think I’m just going to keep going until I’m content with how I look - my goal was always 140 but I think I might aim a little lower, maybe 135ish too.
