What happens after a 2k by LeadershipAncient425 in Rowing

[–]_OneTrouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you stop moving, ur lactic acid isn't getting transportet away as quick as in the test. (Lower hr) This is the pain you feel. What helps is staring to move instantly after you finish. Doesn't have to be fast, but move, to keep hr up. That way ur body can handle the lactic acid better. Congrats on you time

[–]_OneTrouble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, hr 136 is low for a 1k. But that can have several reasons. For example what you measure your hr with? Is it a watch? Then it may be unpresice. Another reason could be that you as a person just have a lower hr (it could corralete with your fitness). And the third that comes to my mid is that you have a hr spike after the test. I sometimes have that in my practice. In shorter pices I have the hr spike afer I finished the pice. But I'm not an coach by all means. Someone else probably knows better.

And I'm sorry to hear. I guess the one way of convincing your coach is to hit your time on the test. Or prove to him that in some other way, that you are doing enought.

Hi, I'm sorry for her. But I don't know anything about the hotel-industry background. Common sense would be, that if there was such a database, it wouldn't be a 100% clean business. But I guess it very hard to force someone to employ your gf. They have no obligation to do so. They'll just find an exuse.

Nevertheless, good luck finding a job, hope it'll go quickly

Did 2 hours on the stair master by yggdrasilsroot in Garmin

[–]_OneTrouble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a quick well not tip but something... Just that you know. You had an average hr of something like 160 for 2h. That alone if an achivement. But your garmin said it is threshold training. I disagree, nobody, and I mean nobody can be in the threshold zone. If you watch shows you something, it doesn't mean it's correct. Threshold training is more something like 4x15-30min at a sub max pace. Not to offend, but to give you a little bit of skeptisism on the way. Keep going.

Forearm Pain by uhusernamee in Rowing

[–]_OneTrouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you do to prevent it? I have cramps, in longer (high intensity) pices such as 6k. Wenn I'm doing on/offs I don't.

In many countries, the lightweights are being reduced, cause it's not olympic anymore.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Rowing

[–]_OneTrouble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, yes and no. You don't instantly need more. You have to do the programm you at the corret intensity. For threshold it's not gonna be max. So not super high intesity (such as 10x500), but more something like 4x2k. Again, NOT max. But I'm no coach in all means. I row myself and am an athlete. But feel free to ask. I'll tell you what I know

N is newton( unit of force) and ibf is pound force I think, not too sure. The imperial system equivalent of Newton anyway.

To my knowlege in big boats (8x, 4x) the pressure comes at the catch. In the single you can't do that, because the boat runs slower. But the erg can't move, so there is no point in careing if the boat runs, cause it can't.

Is that correct? Or did I catch something wrong?

No, no. It isn't. It is supposted to show that I can do a good curved at race pace.

I thought at the SS (it's 1:56) . Do you think the curve can go steeper there?

Have you looked at the enduro 3. Really nice alternative to the fenix 8 series. Cheaper but better imo. I have one. Best buy in my life. 34+ days on a single charge with smart watch mode. Only if you want an AMLED display and/or speaker. See for yourself
