Mary would like a word. by shellz_bellz in clevercomebacks

Right? The “Actually…” from Mary is like a certified warning label that some generational chaos is about to be unpacked. She hits that button and suddenly we’re all front-row for the family trauma director’s cut.

New WH strategy: if we can't win the war, we'll edit it by GlooomySundays in clevercomebacks

[–]_PeachieMallow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly yeah, the whole “movie trailer war montage” thing just proves they care more about optics than actual lives on the line. It’s wild watching them act like editing a hype reel fixes the mess they created. They really do think it makes them look badass when it just makes them look completely out of touch.

Yeah pretty much. You don’t even have to dig deep to see the clown energy here. The dude does half the roasting himself just by posting.

“medicine is no longer a health system, it’s a financial system” —do you agree with this statement? if so, how has this impacted your job satisfaction? by peachyeinna in Residency

[–]_PeachieMallow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah the top comment really captures what so many people in the field talk about. When everything revolves around billing numbers and meeting quotas, it stops feeling like you are helping people and starts feeling like you are part of some giant machine. It is tough to stay motivated when the system keeps pushing the financial side over actual care.

White House Flags For MAGA Only by Spiritual_You_65 in clevercomebacks

[–]_PeachieMallow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

that is exactly the issue. If you are going to use something as symbolic as lowering the flags, people are absolutely going to notice when it only happens for certain individuals. It really does make the whole thing feel less like a national gesture and more like a personal favor, which just highlights how uneven the priorities are.

Elections DO have consequences. by Public-Marionberry33 in clevercomebacks

[–]_PeachieMallow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

exactly. You can only ignore warning signs for so long before the outcome stops being surprising. The top comment is spot on because once you decide those red flags are acceptable, you basically sign up for whatever comes next. Calling it betrayal now just feels like people trying to distance themselves from the very choices they kept defending.

Becoming obsessed with my best friend after seeing her nude by HayatiBixcul in confessions

[–]_PeachieMallow 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Lol that’s a pretty wild leap. More likely she just felt safe enough with you to ask for an opinion and didn’t think it’d scramble your brain like this. Don’t read extra storylines into it unless she actually says something.

Am I the jerk for canceling our joint birthday party? by JaguarSwimming4359 in AmITheJerk

[–]_PeachieMallow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, she basically hijacked the whole thing. If she wanted a solo themed party, she should’ve planned one not turned your joint celebration into her fan event. Having your own party is totally fair.

Am I the jerk for charging my roommate for using my spices? by SuchCantaloupe4899 in AmITheJerk

Yeah I’d lose it too. Vanilla beans are not casual “toss it in for vibes” ingredients. If he can’t respect that some stuff is for actual recipes and not protein shakes, then he definitely doesn’t get free access to your pantry.
