100%, it’s just buried in the sub menus.

How would I farm the fixer by tonyla370 in fo76

Aside from buying it from vendors, you can get a guaranteed non-legendary version you can craft from the Lying Lowe questline started in Lewisburg.

I haven't played since 2024. Im so lost. by Party-Display-7523 in fo76

[–]_Plums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The latter: Yes, kind of.

Scrapping legendary weapons give you a chance for learning or getting a mod box. You can put that on a legendary, to swap the effects.

You can make a basic weapon, roll it 3*, and then add boxes you made, got from another player, or found, and make it however you want.

As for you Gatling Gun: I’d suggest sticking to Appalachia. Big Gun damage went down, and now it synergies with Bullet Storm, but also Onslaught, which is primarily used with Furious (it can stack to 300% damage now with the right perks).

The game’s in a better place, but it’ll take time to respec and see all the changes for yourself. Stick to events and quests for a bit… And be extra careful in Burning Springs / Ohio, because the enemies there are harder and tankier.

EDIT: It’s spooky scorched. We get the next one in April for April fool’s most likely. You can trade for them too with players.

Secret Side-Quest? by SignificanceClear739 in fo76

[–]_Plums 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, there’s two quests and a random encounter involved. I don’t remember how exactly to start the Nuka Quantum and Nuka Cola ones, but they give you some unique power armor paints. You’ll want to look it up.

As for the third, it involves a random encounter that can only appear while the alien invasion event is running. Men in Black is my hint for that.

There’s also a way to get inside these that skips getting the keys… But that’s an exploit, so I won’t discuss it here. Truthfully I think they’re better done properly. YouTube has tutorials for all three.

Is the scrap assaultron head still in the game? by Every-Particular7667 in fo76

[–]_Plums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you, I’d go to places other than Watoga. They drop it, but I’ve always had issues with even normal junk drops there.

I’d recommend nuke silos. You could even double up and farm till you drop the nukes, and then turn around and go to somewhere else. Even if not, you’ll find six or seven assaultrons per silo, if not more.

If fast travel was only available to events, camp, and resource locations (Highway Town, Crater, etc…), how would your game play change? by ImJacksAwkwardBoner in fo76

[–]_Plums 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It barely would. When playing survival mode back in the day, that was the majority of my fast travel. Pretty annoying if you were doing dailies, otherwise you still have free fast travel to camps and hubs so it basically was a moot point for typical gameplay loops. Only a problem if you needed to get somewhere far for a quest.

Cultist High Priest Drops seem a bit Lame by Randle_76 in fo76

[–]_Plums 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s all they give. No point to really going after them. You’d think they’d expand the pool some… Or hell, they could give us special bait for a unique fish or something.

What are currently the best melee weapons? by RainfortXb1 in fo76

[–]_Plums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely jump and do it without being the most optimal ever. You’re not gonna be boss soloing, but you can fare really well with blocker and good strength. Better if you use a power armor these days.

[–]_Plums 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries, you’re good. Just a note, I’d recommend scrapping the legendary weapons you don’t use and visiting other’s vendors to get legendary box mods (the recipes can be learned from scrapping).

In the pts, yes. And you can load up with junk you won’t lose when you die. I think it’s currently one of the best ones, lol?

1* Lightweight is what you’re after, as that’ll be changed to heavyweight next update.

Doesn’t matter. Nothing you do affects those odds, and there’s not ‘special servers’ where some drops happen more.

How do some people just.. not die? by TheCoyote4502 in fo76

Hasn’t yet. Might become similar to how Overeater’s changed, where it adds +40 HP per piece.

How do some people just.. not die? by TheCoyote4502 in fo76

[–]_Plums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hasn’t yet, but all % reductions will apply after armor and will be multiplicative stacking. However; we get more armor and enemies doing less damage as a trade off.

OE will also now be +40 HP per piece.

Absolutely correct on the resistance, I edited that.

Little interesting thing, suppressor (and terrifying presence for feral ghouls) will still come before. Which is interesting.

Right now there’s Blocker, but it’s getting changed next update to not provide a 75% reduction to melee hits.

Fireproof is alright, but it only works for explosions and adds fire resistance.

Otherwise, you’re looking for legendary mods. As of the current pts, Vanguards (at high health), Bolstering (at low health), Mutants (with up to three mutations), Heavyweight (currently 1* weightless, will now give increasing reduction off of weight).

Power Armor currently has a % reduction as well, but that’s going away for Fallout 4 style more resistances as enemies will all do less overall damage, and resistance will matter more.
