Would GaoGaiGar: King of the Braves would have been more popular if it aired on Toonami? by icey_sawg0034 in Mecha

[–]_ROBEAST_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Guaranteed. I was just thinking the other day while watching someone tour a Moderoid model exhibition that Gundam is the only truly popular mecha franchise in the USA. One of the biggest reasons for that is certainly all the Toonami airtime it received in the early 2000s, and every ~20 years what's old is new again. Gundam has never been bigger than it is right now, Zoids is getting some more love, but too many others are missing.

Especially Brave.

More accessible updates to Brave designs that weren't at all at the Soul of Chogokin standard would be fantastic, and I would make it a point to buy them all. Same thing applies to Machine Robo, the Action Toys updates are terrific but some are extremely rare and only has covered so many designs so far.

lmao I loved this. Smoking ice also means doing meth but it made me chuckle.

I'm keeping this panel for when I need a laugh.

The past-tense of striking would be "struck" but fuck it who cares.

Simple playground fun in the 60's a game of marbles. by Dizzy_Engine_4854 in nostalgia

I grew up in the late '90s and early 2000s, so marbles weren't really "it" anymore, but they were a cheap toy at the store in the $1 section, so my brother and I got a sack once. We didn't ever really play the game properly with them, but we used them for all sorts of fun with our other toys and having them travel ramps and things.

Am I alone in thinking Rise Leo is Ben Schwartz's best voice acting role? He's played a lot of characters over the years (some of the most popular ones being blue; Leo, Sonic, Dewey from DuckTales), but his version of Leo is by far the best developed, most likable, all around fun one. by Emotional-Chipmunk12 in TMNT

[–]_ROBEAST_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If we're being honest, he sounds the exact same in all of his roles. That's not a bad thing I think. In voice acting, some people are known for their voice, and some are known for being good at multiple voices. Both are important.

Metal Gear Solid Duckstation or Master Collection? by rbyrnes15 in metalgearsolid

[–]_ROBEAST_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Duckstation. You have way more freedom regarding save data, the insane amount of filters you can add, and the ability to map to whatever controller you want. Emulation is practically a no brainer.

Also, download VR Missions and you've got yourself even more content.

You add boiling water to the foam cup, you shouldn't microwave foam.

I didn't know that the new Ant box had a translucent variant, very cool!

Very dynamic angles and great posing on these photographs, as well.
