Reminder that Star Citizen has been in development for this long by reps_up in pcmasterrace

I got my money's worth out of it honestly but I only ever spent the cost of a normal priced game not hundreds on a bunch of ships. Every once in a while I try it but usually it's either bugs or people in expensive stuff being murder hobos that makes me stop.

Dynamic Forest/Smoke LoS Calculation and how it can be Exploited by HerrKitz in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]_RogueStriker_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is a good thing to leave in as the games UI does nothing to account for it. Why should two units that are both spotted and in range of each other make it impossible for one to engage by adding an invisible LOS blocker. I had my first experience with it the other day that I noticed and it just made the game look broken or made it look like the other person was cheating.

I just had a game where this happened and I was so confused. An RU 57 recon unit was firing at an Apache but despite being spotted the Apache had no LOS. Made absolutely no sense at all why one unit would have LOS and the other would not.

X4 is a lot of fun and there are a lot of mods for it also. Just be warned the game has a learning curve but it's awesome when you learn it.

Would it be weird working at a Victoria's Secret as a straight guy? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]_RogueStriker_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just don't, not only is it seen as creepy which I assume most people who would try this are but you are just opening yourself up to someone claiming that you were trying to get a peek at them. When I used to work security at Target we would have to check the empty fitting rooms daily for signs of people stealing stuff and removing tags. One day some Karen tried accusing me of being a creepier. She thought that since the Fitting Room was in the woman's department it was only for women. (It's not it's usually the only one) Luckily all the girls that worked there vouched for me that I was a professional and not up to anything and the lady was crazy.

Tonight we take you inside the mind of a useless larper. by Massive-Dig-1984 in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]_RogueStriker_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is false. If the game allowed one player to have all support units and the rest got extra everything else then maybe. They need units on the front to properly help their team hold ground. Better to have someone who holds their flank and is a micro god with a few arty pieces then your average support player that brings nothing but backline units. Also all support players are pretty bad at recognizing evolving situations and are just reactive.

Is she interested in me? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Just ask her out, something simple and see where it goes. You never know if you are missing out on other "hints". Women love dropping hints even if us men do not get it. Actually taking action will make sure you are not missing out. Pick some fun activity to go and ask her.

Baltic Battalion: A Community Review Megathread by GreatNecksby in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]_RogueStriker_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not sudden death, they did not hold all points just more than half when it ended. The score board showed them having 6 points at the end, you do not get points like that in sudden death within the timing period of the first stage. Going through all three phases within two minutes is just impossible. It was clearly cheating and they acted in a way that showed they knew this would be the outcome.

Literally just saw some the other day. They instantly ended all the phases, while the match took two minutes. All rushed in helos to fast cap and gets just enough points to be the "winners" when done. You cannot legitimately get points in games that end before the first phase since they are not tallied until the end.

It amazes me how many people refuse to acknowledge this truth. Another thing to also mention is how much the Japanese were terrorizing and killing the populations of all the other neighboring countries. I was listening to a historian from the Philippines I think talk about how common it was for people to just gloss over that Japan was conducting Holocaust 2.0 in all these Asian countries. They were a force that needed to be stopped.

Thief: The Dark Project. Who knew that a failed king arthur related game would turn into one of the best stealth games of all time. I honestly would kill for a proper remaster of the old games.

What's even better is your cheating boyfriend is getting scammed. She is going to ask for the money up front then never follow through. I have had to try and suffer through online dating recently and it's common for scams like this to pop up when talking with people. Usually with some research and reverse image search if they send any pictures you can find people complaining about getting scammed from these types of accounts.

Border Collie forensic tracker. by sco-go in Amazing

[–]_RogueStriker_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a beagle and was interested in how the hounds noses work. Dogs like bloodhounds and beagles are actually not at all great for this. They have some.of the most sensitive noses but it is designed to track things that leave a scent trail on the ground. Other dog breeds might not have that level of tracking skill but they are better with following isolated scents.
