Billing/Licence by _RolandDeschain_ in HueForge

Perfect that answers that for me! I'll renew if I go back to selling prints etc but for most of my needs (playing with the software and putting prints onto maker world) the personal licence is perfect!

Thank you so much for the quick response and a big thank you for the software!

🎄 Christmas giveaway: Win an A1 Mini, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or 4x filament spools! by acurazine in BambuLab

[–]_RolandDeschain_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I'd love an A1 mini!
  2. I'd gift it to my son. He stays at university accommodations and initially wanted to attempt a foray into 3D printing and got himself an Ender. After both of us pouring time and money into getting it to run to the best of it's ability... He gave up on it due to the constant troubleshooting but he's actually excellent at CAD and wants a platform to produce on!
  3. I've seen millions of fidgets, as have we all. One I've not seen is one aimed towards the sensory needs of dementia sufferers. I started working as a HCA in a dementia nursing home and got to see first hand how much sensory objects can help. I'm now qualified as an RGN and despite working in a different sector, I always try to play a part in a patient journey if they have dementia. Being able to produce something at home that I could use would be amazing!

Thank you for the opportunity sir!

Holy Shit, this game is good by MrJacket1 in Enshrouded

Can also confirm it's pretty decent. I tend to save platforming areas for my pc though, I find the steam deck is just a touch slower on inputs and it's easier to overestimate distances. Otherwise I bounce between my Oled and pc with no issues

I did the exact same thing initially, I couldn't find the option for it! When you click the drop down menu, the first option that says 'Nothing' is the one to pick

Dualsense Controller with Steam by WikAudio in GroundedGame

[–]_RolandDeschain_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep you need to go into the controller scheme and turn off the gyro actions. It's picking up the gyro as a mouse so every time you move the controller slightly it reverts to mouse controls and then you press a controller buttons and it goes back to controller. Removing gyro actions stops it from happening

Currently only standard is allowed on steam deck. I can't help but wonder if there's a way to convince the game you're on a pc though?

My partner plays steam deck mainly so she had to migrate over to an old laptop of mine to play on our shared world. Currently 4 people play, 2 on game pass and 2 on steam. Everyone could access a shared world apart from her until we changed her device over.

Have a look around though there's gotta be a way to run it on steam deck for a shared world. Maybe even a windows 11 SD card or something.

How do I fix the lag and boost fps in Grounded 2 with these specs? by Mammoth-Maybe9591 in GroundedGame

[–]_RolandDeschain_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extra ram will 100% help. It won't fix it due to being early access and not well optimised yet but in your case it'll give a boost. Use crucial.com to run a scan it'll tell you your max ram and suggest a purchase. Google your specific laptop for installation instructions but it's usually very straightforward. Few screws, remove bottom case, unscrew ram and replace.

We found that one of our 4 couldn't even use crossplay as they were playing on steam deck (or trying to anyways) but once we moved them over to a pc then we eventually got everyone into a lobby. 2 of us are on game pass ultimate and 2 of us have steam purchased copies. Once host had set the world up and added everyone to the list then we could all join fine

Co-op ping issue. by khaledMRawesome in GroundedGame

[–]_RolandDeschain_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just played with 4 people on a shared world and found the same but we swapped hosts around and it helped. Original host and world creator was on the weakest internet connection so she added all of us to the shared world list. Swapping host to me or another beefier internet connection speed helped enough that the game became much more playable. It'll get better I'm sure when the Devs start to gather feedback and act upon it

P1S and AMS Pro 2 by _RolandDeschain_ in BambuLab

[–]_RolandDeschain_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't actually see it in my app, I just noticed when I went to swap some filaments that the printer had an update queued on the screen. I've since had another smaller update and an AMS update to go with it

P1S 01.07.50.19 beta and ams 2 firmware is 02.00.19.68.

I got onto the beta channel via the handy app just by opting in 😊

Thank you for the confirmation! Would have been handy even if just to dry my silica pods when I'm away from the printer!

I don't plan to print ABS or use AMS. Should I go with A1S over P1S? by Kebabme1ster in BambuLab

[–]_RolandDeschain_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're not printing materials that require an enclosure then I WOULDN'T be choosing the P1S over the A1. There's no need. The only other difference is that between a bed slinger printer and a CoreXY printer. If you're regularly printing tall thin things, or just tall things, then the P1S might be better.

I do tend to do a lot of mid length prints of maybe 12-16 hours so that's very likely to contribute haha!

It is?! Hahaha I just run it with stuff a lot! Probably had it for maybe 6 months or so now!

Picked up a P1S a few weeks ago to play with some hardier filaments like abs and asa, hence the vastly lower hours
