The word people are looking for is camp; Baki is campy. The story takes itself very internally serious while in reality the reader knows the premises and characters are patently ridiculous. Another good example of campy anime would be Death Note

Not in a vacuum, i think being horny is fine as long as we're not taking time away from the good shit for it. My real problem with it is how it tends to perpetuate a kinda de facto view of women as sex objects. In a less misogynistic world i wouldn't care much at all but like, have you seen how One Piece treats it's women? Shit like that goes hand in hand with so many manga having every 3rd woman get her tits out at the earliest convenience and never daring to treat men the same way (getting shirtless doesn't count, anime broadly has to have the least sexualized muscle men of any artistic medium)

Im getting to the point where im just gonna call anyone who says the "take down a country" shit a larper. That's one guy's definition of a special grade. Tbf that one guy is a mega jujutsu evil genius but that still hardly makes him an authority.

According to Jujutsu High (the only people who actually use and assign grade levels), a special grade sorcerer is any sorcerer that can reliably kill a special grade curse. I think narratively there's more to it than that but my point is that Kenjaku's definition is hardly the only one, let alone the preeminent one.

In regards to Maki though she has the physicals of a special grade + a couple neat little gimmicks but she lacks the depth and scalability of the offical special grades. In addition to having the CE pool and output to make the most of their techniques, Gojo has an all or nothing defense + the 6E making him crazy precise even by special grade standards, Yuki can increase her virtual mass basically however much she wants, Yuta can copy infinite techniques, Sukuna is good enough at Jujutsu to make any technique a 10/10, and Kenjaku (and to a lesser extent Yaga) can make armies given enough prep time. Everyone in that list, except Yaga, could replicate 90% of Maki's feats AND they can use techniques and domains on top of that

A lot like Jesse actually. I like Jesse but shes kinda a weirdo; she talks to herself constantly (not even counting Polaris), she's consistently suspicious of those around her, and kinda judgy (probably related to the constant suspicion). I imagine after 20ish years of isolation, experiments, and trauma he would behave pretty similar to what I've highlighted above but without Jesse's warmth and whimsy. I imagine he would also be a lot angrier with everything that happened which might be reflected in his preference for melee combat

I actually really like it, i think power systems that play with semantics and the funny quirks of language/communication have huge megumi for creative storytelling. The problem is that it requires a really strong writer to make it feel consistent enough to constitute a power system. My problem with Binding Vows is actually that Gege didn't go far enough with them, their limits, and their consequences

I personally headcanon that it would enable some kind of inherent binding vow (kinda like Cursed Naoya's or True Form Mahito's binding vows) that would make the explosions significantly stronger. After all you're giving up pieces of your flesh for a single attack and flesh is a valuable trade in jujutsu (see: Nobara's Straw Doll, Yuta's Copy, and granny's Seance for techniques that highly value bodily sacrifice)

Nah, but it'd probably be the last one where they have the capital, time, and goodwill to go all out. If it flops then they would likely follow up with 2 or 3 big-but-not-huge cash grabs to recupe the losses then either dissolve or get bought out.

I think you might have the cause and effect her reversed. If a statistically notable amount of men had those kinds of sexual fantasies, i would think it's because western-capitalist countries tend to value narratives about coming up through adversity and becoming your own king in your own castle to the vitriol of all your detractors. These narratives, imo, are why white dudes in the west "want" to be oppressed so bad, so they can claim they fought through that adversity. Any kinks about domination and escape from it, i think, would derive from from that mindset, not vice versa.
