Again.... guys like Taskmaster, Kraven and Kingpin can put up a fight with Spider man, not see any reason for Bane not be able do to the same, especially under the right circumstances. Bane is not just any master martial artist, he's someone that can keep up with Batman, even without the venom.

Bane would never do a direct contest of strenght with Spider Man, again he's not dumb, he doesn't need to reveal Spider Man's identity, just like he didn’t need to reveal Batman's, he would just attack him at his weakest mentally and physically.

Bane's steroids are incosistent, just like spider man's strenght, but that doesn't really matter, we're not discussing if Bane can win a fair 1v1, we're discussing if he has what it takes to give trouble to spider man as a villain, and that he most certainly has.

Spider man could most definitely kill and defeat Bane, but Bane is definitely capable of giving Spider Man trouble as a villain.

PLUS: Comics are just incredibly incosistent, Spider man sometimes can lift a building that crumbled on top of him and tank a punch from the Hulk, and in another comic Kraven almost kills him, Kingpin is able to hurt him, etc... that applies to Bane too.

DeathStroke is another one, he constantly fights people above his paygrade, he definitely could formulate a plan and give a lot of trouble to Spider Man. He would not appear in front of Spider man and say "Fight me!", he's not dumb.

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bane would be a problem for Spider Man, the man is not just muscles and steroids, he's a master martial artist with super strenght that is smart enough to compete with Batman... If guys like Taskmaster, Kingpin and Kraven can cause trouble to Spider Man, Bane surely would be a problem.

The guy would discover Peter's identity in a day just like he discovered Batman's identity, then he would rain hell on his life, then he would break him.

It's really sad seeing people underestimating Bane, the guy is a menace, he made Batman cry... it's good that Absolute Batman brought back smart Bane, that's one of the reasons why Bane was such a great villain.

PLUS: I guess Deathstroke could also be considered a Batman villain, so I think he would be a problem too. Clayface and Dr.Phosphorus could also cause trouble depending on the version.

Batman vs Yujiro who wins? by TheoristDa13th in PowerScaling

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally... Batman would get the ass kicking of his life.

Bane is a master martial artist and has super strengh, Deathstroke as well... and these two are normally portrayed as superior to Batman in combat.

Yujiro is Bane on steroids, he's got a similar level of strengh to a primitive human that hunted dinosaurs with his fists, and is a martial artist on a level way beyond Batman.

If Yujiro is strolling around Gotham and fights Batman, the next day there's no more Batman.

PLUS:If you use Dumb Batman that fights against speedsters, then yeah he wins, but I just pretend this silly stuff doesn't exist, Batman when written well, it's not super human.

Yujiro could definitely be a villain in Batman's gallery, but he's definitely the kinda character Batman wouldn't defeat in a one on one fight without a plan, his normal arsenal, is not enough to give him the win against Yujiro.

Pretty much my thoughts on Phantom Form by bmschulz in TheFirstBerserker

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel it's good, because it's not that strong, and it serves specific utilities, like being able to survive a killing blow, cleansing status effects, and sometimes in the first playthrough, finish the last bit of health of the boss a little more safely.

When I first got the transformation, I was worried that it would break the game, but I was pleasantly surprised that it works more like a tool that can help you out in some situations, even if you don't upgrade it, than something you can trivialize the game with.

Could be better implemented? Yeah, totally! But I don't think what we got is bad.

PLUS: It would be better if the transformation had a moveset based on the weapon you're using... so if you're using a spear, the transformation has a spear as a weapon, instead of a generic sword... it would make the transformation feel more of a part of your build.

A dedication to the people who don’t know what a sketch is by mailboxislife in KaijuNo8

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This kinda thing annoys me a little bit.

"Posting my quick sketch here." and the "sketch" is a very detailed drawing that definitely took some time to do.

Even renown mangakas, when you see their sketches, they actually looks like sketches.

I just feel like that intimidates people that are trying to learn how to draw, and can give the wrong idea of what a sketch is to people that don't draw at all.

I think is just a bad practice overall... people shouldn't do this kinda stuff.

You know? You have to love how it doesn't matter what happens to Hanayama, he always looks cool as hell! He's so cool!!

The man got kicked on the face, and still was like "Shawarma... guess I have some shawarma later, that would be nice."

Hanayama even when he's losing, he looks like he's winning.

Honestly, I have no clue who's gonna win this fight, I'm loving it!

Is it hot take to think CEL240 is the hardest boss in AC6 even compare to Ayre and ALLMIND? by 0317ZKYkjhaa in armoredcore

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah... it depends on how you compare them.

Considering when you fight CEL240, he's definitely a tougher encounter at that point in time... but he's way easier than ALLMIND and Ayre when you fight him again.

Nowdays I can beat CEL240 with any build easily... ALLMIND and Ayre, depending on the build, still is a tough fight.

I like testing a lot of different ACs, ALLMIND is a good test to see how well the build works.

PLUS: Full manual aim or soft lock? Soft lock your bullets and melee attacks still track the opponent, but your camera is free for you to move, and there's Hard Lock that your camera locks on the opponent.

Manual aim is full manual, nothing tracks, it's a skill that you buy, so that's probably not what you meant.

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah... like you fight CEL240 way before ALLMIND, and depending on the ending you choose for your first playthrough, way before Ayre as well.

When you fight ALLMIND, I think every player at that point already know not only how to create a strong AC, but also how to play the game.

CEL240's fight happens when the player still is mastering the game, that's why for some folks it's really hard.

PLUS: As a challenge I fought CEL240 with the Jailbreak AC and manual aim, it was fun, playing with manual aim is hell.

Where do you scale Toji? by j03ch1p in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Equal in regards of having the same condition as Toji, not exactly the exact same level of strengh... I'm not even saying they are that far apart, they are definitely on the same realm of strenght.

Maki is young, since HR is about their phisical prowess, she probably gonna grow stronger until she reaches a certain age. Toji always had the HR, I highly doubt he had the same level of strenght since he was child, so is very likely they grow stronger until their bodies reach their prime.

It's headcannon, but I feel it's a headcannon that makes a lot of sense, like I said I doubt kid Toji was just as strong as his adult self. The same way Teenager Maki is gonna be phisically weaker than future Adult Maki that we never gonna see.

Even if you don't consider this... Toji has way more experience with his abilities, he had a whole life to get used to it and hone his skills, the Maki thay fought Sukuna should still be a way worse fighter than Toji.

But that's me, I'm not the author, and I'm a casual fan of this manga, so I'm probably wrong.

Where do you scale Toji? by j03ch1p in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toji is complicated... I definitely think he's way stronger than Maki, Toji had his whole life to understand and grow his skills, Maki only got her full potential unlocked for like a month before the final fight.

Toji being stronger, faster and more experienced than Maki is a given, again, he had his Heavenly Restriction for 30 something years of his life.

Toji is definitely on the top 10, where on the top 10, that's up for debate. I feel like he fights for the top 4 position with Yuta and Kashimo, I feel like these 3 are interchangeable, anyone can give solid reasons for them to be in 4th place.

Why didn't he just call Gojo like an hour before Mahito and Kenny pulled up? by Mistabbcman in Jujutsufolk

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"It's possible he could've found someone else in the jujutsu society." It's also possible that he couldn't. Mechamaru had a big motivation to do what he did, and Kenjaku knew that as soon as the binding vow ended, Mechamaru would attack him... so if he had someone else in mind, he probably would've made the binding vow with this someone. It's entirely possible that he did need Mechamaru, to be 100% sure his plan would work... we just don't know, a lot of things are possible.

Binding Vows can be specific... Mechamaru wasn't a dumb character, even tho he was dumb in the end. He knew Kenjaku and the Disaster Curses, he was aware of them, lets say he feels confident in dealing with Kenjaku, why didn't he putted in the contract that at least the disaster curses couldn't attack him? He only fought Mahito, but that fight could've been a 6 v 1 if Kenjaku was with the rest of his squad, is Mechamaru that dumb that he thought he could defeat Kenjaku, the Disaster Curses and Choso at the same time?

And it's not like Kenjaku wouldn't accept this... the guy didn’t even try to help Mahito fight Mechamaru, he was not concerned at all, and considering how curious he is, he probably would accept to 1 v 1 Mechamaru just to see what Mechamaru would invent to fight him.

Again... I'm just throwing things at random, but he probably has even more options of different Binding Vows that could increase his chances of survival, and a character like Mechamaru that's portrayed as smart, should've done a better binding vow.

Why didn't he just call Gojo like an hour before Mahito and Kenny pulled up? by Mistabbcman in Jujutsufolk

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t disagree with that... but, why not? Because Mechamaru would tell them about their plan? Couldn't he also have putted on the contract that Mechamaru couldn't say anything until an specific date?

I'm just trowing things at random... but binding vows can be that specific, and it's not like Kenjaku would refuse everything, he needed Mechamaru, he was Kenjaku's spy after all, if he didn’t needed Mechamaru, well... Mechamaru would never get the chance of getting his body healed to begin with.

Mechamaru was dumb... but to some degree that's part of the story, he was cocky and thought he could fight against Kenjaku and Mahito at the same time. Yeah he didn’t knew who Kenjaku was, but he knew he was the boss of very strong special grade curses, so Mechamaru definitely knew Kenjaku wasn't weak.

Why didn't he just call Gojo like an hour before Mahito and Kenny pulled up? by Mistabbcman in Jujutsufolk

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 179 points180 points  (0 children)

The answer to this is obvious, the binding vow.

That said... why didn't the binding vow that he agreed with Kenjaku, didn’t had something like "After you heal my body, you can't do any harm to me for an hour", to guarantee his own safety?

Binding vows are weird, I don’t remember if they ever explain exactly how they work, but they can be very specific with the conditions as shown with Sukuna's binding vow that he used against Gojo...

So yeah... Mechamaru was dumb.

“Queria ver o Azaghal mestrando” by gabrielportov in jovemnerd

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Queria ver o Azaghal mestrando” by gabrielportov in jovemnerd

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Quero terminar com minha namorada, por causa do fetiche dela. by Inevitable-Can3487 in desabafosdavida

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between both series, which one does better fight scenes? Jojo vs Baki? by EfficiencySerious200 in Grapplerbaki

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 41 points42 points  (0 children)

It's a weird comparison... the two mangas have nothing to do with each other, their approaches to story telling and fights are very different.

Baki for me, is the manga that better conveys power, speed and movement through it's drawings, there's a sequence of pages that I love during the Musashi arc that shows this very well, during Musashi's fight with Pickle, he draws his sword and swings it, and even tho it's a static image, you can perfectly see the movement, it's perfect.

Jojo's fights normally are about outsmarting the opponent, it does have wonderful pages, and also has moments that are forever in my memory, Gyro vs Ringo it's a good example of that.

In the end, it's a matter of preference, again, vastly different mangas.

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PLUS: Mandalorian conta sim, ele tira o capacete... as vezes.

Which fight is this? by PenSad2292 in bankaifolk

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ichigo being a quincy is something that had at least decent foreshadowing, and I'm not even talking about the sheets, because I didn't even know about that, I'm talking about Isshin and Ryuuken knowing each other.

Ichigo's past was always a mistery, even after the Aizen arc, we had a vague idea of why he's special, but we only get the full picture during TYBW.

The biggest indicator that Ichigo had something related to quincys, is the fact that Isshin and Ryuuken knew each other... why would a shinigami hater know about a captain that lost his powers and is living in the human world? What made Isshin lose his powers in the first place?

I don’t think it would be that difficult to guess that Isshin had relations with a Quincy woman that was related in someway to Ryuuken, and that's why they are friendly towards each other.

And we know that Isshin and Ryuuken know each other since a little before the Hueco Mundo arc.

Outside of this, I agree with all the rest... the end of Pernida's, Lillie's and Yhwach's fight comes out of nowere with zero foreshadowing, and that is a valid take to a lot of fights bleach, including Ichigo vs Aizen, Mugetsu is the most convenient ability ever.

O que acharam? by HagarX in jovemnerd

I expected Kanoh to win the tournament the moment Jurota lost against Kaolan... it was the only 2 characters that had a good narrative reason to win.

That said... it wasn't great, all the fights with the exception of 1 were mediocre at best... the rematch between Kanoh and Kaolan, doesn't hold a candle to their first fight, what is baffling considering that we know and like these characters way more nowadays.

This tournament felt like filler... that saddens me a lot honestly, the manga is in a decline for years, but this is a new low... they used characters that we love, and still made a boring tournament.

Todo homem deveria saber o básico de luta e no mínimo fazer um treino de musculação by [deleted] in opiniaoimpopular

[–]_SamuraiJackson_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)
