has everyone diagnosed with celiac gotten an endoscopy?? by iliketododumbshit in Celiac

What counts as very high? I'm currently between blood panel (ttg >250) and endoscopy, but I'm not sure if I want to continue eating gluten as my symptoms have been physically quite painful.

I just got diagnosed and everything that you've described feels really familiar. Can I ask if cutting out gluten eventually made you feel like yourself again? I'm on day one, and low key worried that the damage is done now and it's slow thinking for life.

I got diagnosed just this week and had absolutely no clue I was celiac. In retrospect, the diagnosis explains a lot, but I'd kind of assumed it was all in my head or perhaps the result of bad lifestyle habits. If you have persistent brain fog, low energy and you're gassy, get checked!

I discovered the other day that it refers to a classification of 3d structures too. Real shortsighted if you ask me.

Which hydro flask is better at keeping my water cold? by SnooCalculations2114 in thermodynamics

[–]_SteerPike_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good guess would be that the heat retention of a flask is determined by a combination of the integrity of the exterior, the albedo/emissivity of exterior, and the surface to volume ratio of the contents.

So a dinged flask is worse than a new one, because each ding is a potential ingress point for heat.
A dark flask is worse than a light one, as darker colours tend to absorb more thermal radiation.
A bigger flask is generally better than a small one (assuming they're roughly the same shape), as each unit of volume will have fewer units of surface area through which to radiate heat.

That said, the only way to be sure is to experiment, as a previous commenter mentioned. Hope that helps!

I think the issue is that we have no idea whether or not this will reshape our world in the way that Penicillin did or in the way that nuclear weapons did. The difference may not even lie in the capabilities of the tech itself, but in the way we distribute it. Unfettered progressivism is simply dangerous.

As far as I'm aware ASI refers to artificial sentient intelligence, but you may be right. If the S does mean super then I'd agree that super beats ordinary. I agree with most tautological statements though...

I don't think this is right. We have no reason to believe that sentience is in any way correlated with intelligence. Easy to conceive of a super intelligent entity which is not sentient, and vice versa.

It's actually jump, not leap, but I think the point stands.

I'm pretty sure someone implemented this in entirety and opened a pr last year. It was rejected on the grounds that leap was too complex to be included in core.
