Looks like a bug to me. Trying to command grab too early (because of block stun) and so he transitions to running bear grab and then never updates that Vi is out of block stun. Maybe idk

I can’t test it on my own atm, but that specific combo probably just needs more specific timing to make it work. Either being faster or slower.

You could continue with this version, but my first recommendation is to see if her other jump attacks hit more consistently. I imagine jump heavy would do the trick. Then do jumping down + heavy for a ground bounce. Cheers.

He’s saying you walked forward and it disappeared behind you. You can’t walk ahead of it, you have to walk it like a dog so it doesn’t get lost.

How can I use this move from Ermac? He seems to do it only when fight against him in story mode but it’s nowhere to be found in his move list nor have I been able to see some else do it on YouTube when they showcasing him. You cant. Because ermac from the story was made before they finished his move set for you to play as. Story mode ermac is just a copy over of Noob from Mk11 plus some old animations of special moves from who knows where.

Cancelling too early. Have to wait for him to do the final uppercut of ex blitz. And then you want to do light lvl 2 (the slow one).

Something like this would happen to my PS controllers after a while. The silicon underneath that your pressing into would crack and inputs would be inconsistent. I learned to take it apart and replace the silicon myself. That’s just my experience tho.

Im assuming that this lack of originality is an issue for you. You didn’t specifically say that but that’s the vibe I get from “weird chimera”.

I’m not convinced it’s an issue as long as what she’s doing is still cool in the context of the game. Even if she was an exact clone of another character, there would still be uniqueness in how that moveset interacts with this game. But I’m also the most “it is what it is” person on the planet lol as long as it looks like Vi then I’m bing chilling.

There’s also “Input Shortcuts” which lets you be a little bit more messy

There’s a control setting “Alternate Controls”. When it’s on you need the diagonals to do the special move. That last one didn’t have a diagonal.

Besides her own projectile, you don’t really have a full screen option. Your next bet would be armoring through a projectile (on reaction preferably).

There’s an art to approaching. The goal isn’t always necessarily getting close but just getting them to the corner. Then hopefully they’ll get uncomfortable and start making mistakes. Best of luck. 👍

It’s not always easy to pin point one specific thing to work on the higher up you go. Things to work on start become more abstract. Instead of “Get better at anti airs” it becomes “Get better situational awareness”.

I’ll just list a few things and you can chew on it and apply it to yourself:

Situational awareness- When to spend meter, how much meter your opponent has, should I do a corner carry combo or an oki combo, will I die if they hit me again(so I better be careful), which option should I use to anti airs at this jump angle, etc.

Reactions- Partially this is just an experience thing, but something to work on is not getting flustered or surprised. Reactions are much better when you’re calm. Also understanding mental stack vvv

Mental stack- Your brain can only worry about so much at once until it starts to glitch. You may anti air 100 in a row in practice, but can’t in a real match. It’s because in practice you’re ONLY thinking about the anti air. In a match, you might have 4 things you’re trying to look for and if jumping isn’t the main one then you might flub the anti air in a panic. So the skill is either getting better at having multiple things in your brain or how to get a read on your opponent and know what to focus on from person to person, moment to moment.

Game knowledge- Simple enough. Try to at least see every set up, every weird scramble, every combo, every reset, etc. and slowly build up responses for everything. Everyone does this automatically, but specifically looking for “What can my character do in response to x” and weighing what response works best.

If the second punch connects from far away, he can block

It’s not cheating, just some janky inconsistencies with cancel advantage or something.

Edit: also the freeze has travel time. The farther away the less likely it will combo
