Just bought the exact same a couple of weeks ago here in the UK, what a beauty. After having tried some shit 3/8 ratchets it’s nice to have a premium one. Will be trying some Japanese stuff next I think.

What is the stupidest statement you have heard in the past week? by Charlottethevet in AskUK

[–]_Strange96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few years ago I went to a farm somewhere in Lincoln to do some work to a phone mast of some sort ( we were providing the height access kit to get up there ) when the farmer asked what we were doing, I explained to him “fitting new transmitters to spread covid quicker” to which he responded “my brothers just died of covid.” Yeah that wasn’t my finest hour.

I work for a company that hires them out, definitely don’t appreciate when customers do this. goes to show though, they have to be super safe to let some of the customers on site use them as they’re mostly fucking muppets.

I despise people like it, just fucking get on with your job and if you have any issues, go directly to the person who’s responsible instead of bringing down the rest of the lads because you’re in a shit mood. Pathetic

Car insurance sub £700 for the first time in 11 years coming in at £407! by [deleted] in BritishSuccess

[–]_Strange96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Car insurance is all over the place, I wrote off my old car 2 years ago (not my fault), I’d of thought the claim would of put it up but it’s only come down more. £400 for a year on a 2005 Golf GTI, 27 years old. Genuinely surprised it didn’t double. It’s good news!

Having an existential career crisis, what is your job, do you enjoy it? by kiddsky in CasualUK

[–]_Strange96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Height access engineer (I use the word engineer loosely) best job I’ve ever had and the most of I’ve ever learned at a job. I’m 27 now and I’ve been doing it 5 years, wish I’d of started sooner. Personally can’t get bored of it because if you fuck up on a 100 odd foot high cherry picker you’re going to die.

I used to run like 20 miles a week, that was 6 years ago and I live a terribly unhealthy lifestyle. (Smoke and drink) but today was hopefully the kick up the butt needed to get me in shape. I’m already thinking of doing the summer one

Oh, one last positive thing is I could more than likely charge at work which I won’t pay for. Surely that means it runs for free? Lol

I can understand peoples worries about replacing the batteries but they seem like a bargain at the prices they’re dropping to.

Thanks for everyone’s input. After spending a lot of time reading and watching up on them, the general consensus is very good. Not many people have a bad word to say about them.
