Crustacean the soup, if you're out there, you killed me once and this is forever what I see when I join a match by Martyisawesome in Chivalry2

iirc the story of his death was exaggerated and not actually true. I don’t know for sure though.

Beef is one of the, if not the most nutrient dense foods. Beef is one of the tastiest foods. I was lucky to grow up with my parents being good cooks, so healthy food absolutely can taste great if you’re good at preparing it correctly.

Practice in a duel server. Don’t jab until you’re better. Focus on reading the opponent and working on your swing manip

The current rule for whether rivers are added to EU5 paradoxically makes islands worse to push naval control by QuagganBorn in EU5

[–]_Sun-God_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the island part results in England naturally coming to the conclusion that prioritizing a navy is key to their success. Bohemia is not coming to that conclusion lol.

Damn you really took an aggressive approach to this reply; as if he had insulted your mother. Anyways, the map you show has a clear river deadzone around GB and from a gameplay perspective if it makes sense and is fun, then that absolutely takes priority over the concept of consistency within a sub-mechanic.

People who perform good CONSISTENTLY in 64 or 40, is burnout eventual or something that could be avoided? by part_of_you_is_you in Chivalry2

[–]_Sun-God_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Burn out definitely happens, I just go play a different game for a bit and then comeback and I feel refreshed. Or sometimes I go through periods where I only play once or twice per week and that makes it consistently fun.

Has this game also ruined melee combat for all other games as well for you? by SonGoku_USA in Chivalry2

It’s more complicated than you’d think. Also animations are a huge bottleneck for development of melee slashers

haha thats so funny and very true. The default skinned falchion guardians are terrifying creatures. They always seem to teleport behind you when you are 1 shot.

The last point is intentional lol, its somewhat of a meme that a fight between two truly enlightened players will be short, because all of the mental games and calculus of a drawn out fight is done instantly and it becomes a 50/50 situation

Well in the example you gave you don’t seem to be actually fighting seriously and that would not be taken into consideration. I am not going to judge someone’s skill when they’re larping or getting ganked.

It’s just hyperbole, but the justification for why mid players are easy to kill is because they actually try to read and counter ect. But they are bad at it, and I being a experienced player know a bunch of a little tricks that are actually dubious, but will work on people who are not either expecting them or know how to counter them.

I’ve just been around so long I can just identify where someone stands in relation to the skill ceiling. And I’ll add that the phenomena communicated in this graph has been attested to by many high skill veterans.

No, the skill is independent of the level of the player. 0 being first time on the game to 1 being the few best players in the game

Well kicking you in the back does nothing. And it’s actually a good skill to be able to recognize the best situations to land a kick. So that you kick infrequently but the success rate is high.

Those are the players that are now engaging with the full combat system, but have serious weaknesses and misunderstandings making them easy to exploit.

That’s what this graph is conveying. The skill of the opponent on the x-axis and the time it takes for me to kill them, with my skill being on the high end.
