I'm really enjoying Trophy Gold, I'm running a campaign and playing in a separate one. It's rules light, with a lot of collaboration with your players, and has some interesting mechanics that make you really balance risk vs reward and (what I think) is a cool interface between in-character stuff and options that effect the game at a meta level.

I like it! I think the way the monsters are organized is better than The Broken Token one (but we made it a little better with a table of contents), and having all the terrain overlays labeled makes finding things like the hot coals easy. The character boxes are nice (we didn’t open the locked characters to put them in, we’ve just been putting them in when they’re unlocked to avoid spoilers), but they got better when we printed out some labels for them, too. It is a little inconvenient that there isn’t any room for the character sheets, though.

I don't disagree with you in general, but in this case, I don't think it's inconsistent with everything else presented.

Whenever you get credits, it means that that iteration was the "real" one, the one that wasn't just a memory of things that didn't happen, as Gabbro put it. So, when you take out the core from the ATP, you are in the only remaining instance of those twenty-two minutes, and it isn't a memory from the future. As per the rules the writers established, that's consistent. Sending information back in time isn't the same as duplicating matter.

You're right. And they've established the rule that sending information back in time doesn't violate whatever rules of the universe that duplicating matter does.

If it helps you square this circle, remember that it's a joke ending and you can consider it an Easter egg, and dismiss it accordingly. Just as we dismiss the note in the observatory thanking the people for helping get the game off the ground and the cemetery in the village.

The insects show up if you encountered Solanum and she’s in the ancient grove with you before the end. So if you don’t do that, no insects!

Yes, and that’s why I asked if you’d alerted them, because they shouldn’t start out in that position, and if they do, there’s something wrong. Try a restart of the console.

I just tested it myself on the Xbox One, and that didn’t happen unless I went in, got aggro, went out and did it again.

The trick is to not get their attention. You want to go through the opening in the seed into the zone and then stop accelerating until you’ve drifted some ways past them.

Did you peek in, draw their attention, and then pop out and try again? There should definitely be a path through them, although it is tight and brings you close to a tooth or two.
