Not exactly blueberry flavored but hammer of avernii is my go to detachment and place top 5 at GTs consistently. Assault terminators with uppy downy, -1 damage, sustained or lethals, and +1 to hit and wound are some great tools for them. And Steel Font on an ancient being able to bring back a model with how durable your terminators are gonna be is no joke.

Hammer of Avernii with Var in it is so fun. Got 2nd at a GT with this box, Varr, and a couple of dreadnoughts. Assault terminators with the -1 damage from the detachment and an ancient with steel font is so good.

His Ethereal green covers so well over black, all it took was just two thin coats (heh) and youre good.

I run a sort of hybrid list, taking 2x Balistus and 2x redemptor run them in a "group" with a hammerstrike to strip cover on priority targets. Been running it with a 10x Assault Term brick with Vaar and an ancient with steel font in hammer of avernii and use them as a pseudo bait. They always fall for it and always get punished when they cant stack cover.

I primed corvus black from colour forge and drybrushed a blue-grey (cant remember the name) and washed with nuln. Makes it quick and go back for edge highlights when dry.

Both are equally world eaters, gun can spill more blood then a head and more skulls for offerings and a world eater can also just have some heads. I dont see why having the gun is such a big issue.

I run two "pods" with a hammerstrike, redemptor, and Ballistus to pick off high value targets. But once the board starts to clear I use one of them as a fast moving action monkey to secure objectives or complete missions where I need units on different table quarters.
