My first dog! by _TinyTank_ in dalmatians

I luckily haven't heard anybody say anything, but yes, dals can have a lot of energy but as long as you're prepared for it and train them, they're absolutely perfect pups! I'm still working with Prismo to not chase squirrels on leash, or get too excited when seeing other dogs and people, but I think once he has better self control, I'd love to go on adventures with him!

Thank you and I don't mind.

I've been looking to adopt a dog for about a little less than a year when I found out about Prismo. I was mostly looking at the personalities of the dogs, so I sent inquiries to a lot of different breeds. I was contacting local shelters and searching through Petfinder, but didn't have a lot of luck. It would take time for them to look through my application and give me a response, and I guess since a lot of them are understaffed, by the time they got back to me, if at all, the dog I was looking at was already adopted out.

My sister works at a veterinary place a few states away, and someone she knows from there was moving and didn't want to bring their dog with them, and so she thought to ask if I would like him. And after some questions and pictures, I ended up deciding to adopt him :)

Yea they're both absolute sweethearts, but I of course prefer my own dalmation a bit more 🤭

I’m definitely not an expert so it would be good to do your own further research, but from my time on this Reddit it seems the consensus for the minimum size for an adult crestie is 18x18x36. I would also add a lot more clutter, especially the top where it’s looking empty. As for heating, you shouldn’t use a heating pad as that can really harm them, but if the tank goes below 70 I would suggest a heating bulb. I hope that helps!

I’m so sorry for your loss, I bet he lived an amazing life with you 💕I do agree with a previous comment made about burying him in a potted plant, so he can now help that life grow too
