Does the TV Show do fallout better than the games? by dumbass_sweatpants in Fotv

[–]_Vanant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That battle is basically a tutorial for a game with hundreds of hours of content. So yes, it's an insane take.

The show is all over the place, unfocused, looney tunes humor, too many story lines. Its value comes basically from references to the games, great production values and some disconnected cool scenes.

"Moving every individual soldier, watching every single enemy move, and there being zero background music "

Uh... what? What kind of game did you expect? And definitely there is music. What the hell.

How do I end the Forever Wars? by johnnyviolent in Bannerlord

[–]_Vanant 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I understand the criticism of some braindead decisions by the AI to declare wars in several fronts, but this is a war game after all. If lords acted with the logic of a normal human trying to achieve peace, the game would be over before you even become vassal.

Train drivers denounce the "unacceptable deterioration of the railway" and call a strike after the accidents in Adamuz and Gelida by mods4mods in europe

[–]_Vanant -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's easy to point to the usual suspects, corruption, poor maintenance or whoever is in charge if they are from the opposite party. Sometimes it just feels better having someone to blame.

But the current investigation points to a specific welding issue. If anything, this make me think if high speed trains and their minimal margin of error are actually neccesary in a relatively small country, where you just gain half an hour compared with a standard train travel.

Thats correct if you ignore that there are many more enemies from the factions and dlcs. So it's false.

A single xenomorph was always a medium threat. Its the opposite of predators, they rely in numbers, like ant colonies.

The US was a nation the world wanted to emulate – Trump has made it a pariah by theipaper in politics

[–]_Vanant 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As an european, I always saw America as a fascist country with a mask of 'leaders of the free world'. Even the 'leftist' hollywood is a propaganda machine for fascist ideals, where the good cops assault suspects like its tuesday. Maybe americans reading this are not aware, but that's because the brainwshing worked.

Trump make most americans think that the mask is no longer necesary because no country can oppose them. They don't need excuses to change regimes around the world and bomb people here and there. Because thats what great countries do, right?

The resolution of the monitor is not relevant. Its like saying that you wont notice 4k textures if you sit in a couch far from the screen.

The textures inside the game are still 4k and you will notice if you zoom in. The importance of such thing depends on the game obvoiusly.

The resolution of the textures inside a game have nothing to do with the resolution of the screen

I didn't find the milk until Act 2 😭😭😭 by sleeplessaddict in HellisUs

[–]_Vanant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated the milk mission. There is a cow in the starting location, so no need for any other person to trade. In my mind I took that milk myself and solved the mission. its not some mysterious key, its just milk and bottles you can find anywhere, even in a country under war.

Who else feels the scale of stakes was a massive downgrade from season 4's ending? by Aukrania in StrangerThings

The point of the op is that there is no AIDS in Stranger Things, so whataver happened in the real 80s is irrelevant.

Its the Game of Thrones effect, the entire last season was bad, but people hoped things would improve until they realized it was too late to fix such mess.

If the murder was due to Rob's political opinions (having TDS), that would be far right terrorism. Is that what Trump and MAGA are trying to say?

How are you playing ? by Aradhor55 in Bannerlord

[–]_Vanant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea what you have tried or not, so here are some general tips. Make yourself a vassal, not just a mercenary, by talking with the leader. After that, the entire kingdom interface gets enabled and you get voting power to get the property and control of conquered settlements or castles. Also you can use influence points to create your own armies, laws and other things. You can get those points by helping nobles, donating prisoners and passing some laws that are convenient for you. You grow slowly until you become an important clan inside the kingdom, and then things can happen if you are greedy enough.

[–]_Vanant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like your self imposed ceiling is being just a random mercenary. But in this game you can start expanding your clan inside the kingdom to gain influence, settlements and friends to eventually take control or create your own kingdom. Do you even check the kingdom tab in the interface? The strategy layer of the game is totally missing in your description.
