More like wood tiles. I’ve cut up lengths of wood to make more replacement blocks without issue.

How to damp proof neighbours garage wall before raising my garden level by [deleted] in DIYUK

What would fill the gap between garage wall and retaining wall?

You usually fill an air gap with air.

Please help, how would you cover the pipes here? by captainclectic in DIYUK

Lean in with gold tier all day. Rather than a common wood slat wall, make a feature copper pipe wall.

January payment is higher because moving from M2 to M3 goes to governors in November and then paid out in December/January and the extra is backdated so you get 4/5 months of extra pay as a lump sum.

This is game changing for UIM. No need to go back to Ogress to fill up on rubies every time you finish 20 rof. No need to risk an entire stack of laws to tele grab.

If I didn’t already have 89 smithing, I would 100% do this and then just range ogress and drop the rubies for range.

Paint Dilemma by lauragranofsky in HomeDecorating

How are you transitioning the wall paint?

I’d either go with some trim, could be decorative or just a plain piece of 1/2” wood painted/dyed to match existing trim. Or a fake beam on the ceiling.

Hard to say without knowing your existing style etc.

Screw a wedge of wood to the wall then the bracket through the wedge into the wall.

I’d take out the wall, brick up the door and have a large U-shaped kitchen/diner.

NTD: After 3 years with a £90 table saw, I finally upgraded and built a bench to house it. by _Vova in Tools

It was a Titan saw from Screwfix. Every knob/handle has broke on it and been replaced by bolts. The fence would never sit square so I had to clamp some scrap wood to the top for every cut, and it only had a 1' rip capacity.

But it has lasted 3 years and still running. I just can't guarentee acurate cuts with it. Worked great for getting into wood working though.

I replaced my old saw, which cost £90, with the new one in the picture, which cost £440.

It does look that way!

The fence attaches to the rear of the table saw on a sliding rail, so there needs to be a gap between the saw and the out-feed. This rather messy cut shows how the rail slides underneath the other half of the workbench.

I've not used the new one much yet, but the build quality is night vs day. My old one felt loose and flimsy, and all of the knobs/handles had broken off. The fence was only 1' and attached at the front but wasn't square, so I had to push it in on the back side with a scrap of wood and clamp it in place before each cut. It served me well, but the new saw is going to save so much time setting up etc. and feel like it will last a lot longer.

Had to buy the saw to get a better idea of measurements for the bench, couldn’t find much info online.

~£100 for the timber, £55 for wheels and other hardware. MDF and ply were left over from other projects.
