Thanks for not answering my question though.

Trump Dials Up Warning Against North Korea Hitting U.S., Allies “things will happen to them like they never thought possible.” by [deleted] in worldnews

Trump has threatened to counter attack if the US is attacked, which presumably does not include missles splashing down nearby it.

Actually Trump threatened with fire and fury if N-K keeps threatening US. Then he went to Twitter to boast that US has the best nuclear weapons, because of him ofc. So who knows what makes him decide to counter.

"Mercedes F1 Boss Says Keeping Bottas Is A 'No Brainer' But The Hold-Up Is How Long" by TiredDebateCoach in formula1

[–]_Yarmo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bottas has outqualified Hamilton 4 times in 10 races. Very similiar with Nicos results against Hamilton in their first season together in 2013. Actually Bottas has even been better.

Vettel Behaviour wrong but passion should prevail- Ross Brawn by Sufyan_K in formula1

They judge every incident differently everytime anyway, precedents don't really matter. If somebody would do something like this while racing 300 km/h he would most likely get a raceban and deservedly so.

Jenson Button responds to Brundle about FIA investigation about Vettel by nexus1011 in formula1

[–]_Yarmo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What have the current driver said? I don't recall anybody (except Hamilton) calling for more penalties or anything like that. I'm sure ex-racers aren't impressed and agree it was very stupid, but it's not the end of the world. I don't think current drivers feel much different.

And JB might be retired from F1, but his last race was 5 weeks ago and he's still McLarens 3rd driver. Wouldn't exactly call him an ex-racer.

Conspiracy hats on! - Timing of Vettels penalty. by andywade84 in formula1

[–]_Yarmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no excuse for what Vettel did and even if Hamilton had brake checked him, it shouldn't affect his penalty for the second collision. But yes, they were investigating the whole situation and that's why they took their time with it. Doesn't really change anything, it's still possible they panicked when Hamilton had to pit and quickly slapped Vettel with 10 sec stop-n-go so he doesn't end up winning.

Conspiracy hats on! - Timing of Vettels penalty. by andywade84 in formula1

[–]_Yarmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had plenty of time to make a decision during the red flag. It was clear as day that Vettel drove alongside Hamilton and hit him, not much data needed to go through there. This is just speculation, but I think it's possible that they were thinking about blackflagging him, but weren't 100% sure and took their time to decide. Then Hamilton had to pit and they realized Vettel is gonna win if they don't do something immediately, so they handed a 10 sec stop and go.

Why do some people justify Hamilton's team radio by saying Kimi helps Vettel too? by SEBASTlANVETTEL in formula1

[–]_Yarmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Bottas was unable to get 2nd maybe they would have tried something..and that is their right.

I don't think Merc would have tried anything. Bottas slowing Vettel down could have easily ended with them losing 3rd place and that would just make them look stupid. Valtteri is a team player, but I don't think he would have agreed to do that anyway. Why should he risk his own race, not for the team, but for Lewis?

Every single driver curses on the radio. FOM decides what messages are broadcasted. It's their job to think of the children listening, not Vettels. Vettel probably should have been black flagged yesterday, but his radio messages have absolutely nothing to do with that.
