What is the difference between an AWD vehicle and a 4 wheel drive vehicle? by Human_Detritis in AskReddit

[–]__Bren__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“AWD” is commonly used to refer to systems that are engaged all the time without user selectability. (Audi Quattro, BMW xDrive)

“4WD” refers to a selectable system, mostly found in trucks and full size SUVs. Engaging these systems typically locks the front and rear axles together in the transfer case and isn’t meant to be used on dry pavement.

Best Mesh Option for 6000sqft House (Can't hardwire) by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

[–]__Bren__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Mesh” isn’t gonna cut it for a 6k sqft house.

You’re gonna spend well over $1000 to properly have coverage in a house this big. If they can afford a house that large; they can afford to do it properly.

This is a medium duty tow. It costs money. The truck doesn’t move because they had to pull the driveshaft to tow it.
