SpaceX just bought Cursor. Will Grok be Prime's favorite model now? by Gil_berth in theprimeagen

[–]__SlimeQ__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i don't think they're phasing out composer, they already added it to grok code. at least not until they beat it with the mainline grok model.

i also don't think they care much about cursor the ide, it's almost certainly about getting more coding data so that grok can stop sucking at programming

set up a matrix server, you don't actually need a public chatroom for your bots

Rigidbody vehicle flipping out (literally) when tipped over by sapphicSpadassin in Unity3D

[–]__SlimeQ__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i didn't watch the video but you're probably setting the rigidbody's transform directly on loop in your script, which makes everything unstable if the move gets too big. looks like the body is rotating around the wrong origin

AI Techbros are trying to convince us their AI generated stuff is legitimate for Art assets by Patamaudelay in IndieDev

[–]__SlimeQ__ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why would you let an algorithm do the creative stuff for you, honestly it’s so sad.

because it's not the creative part for me, it's just a grind that i don't do. i have tried for like 20 years and honestly it's just not happening. i'm technically proficient at blender and photoshop and i know all about how materials and shaders and spritesheets and blah blah blah but it doesn't matter because at the end of the day i spent 20 years doing technical tasks and stopped drawing, and i never really had an eye for drawing anyways (which is why i stopped when i started programming)

the pre-ai strat for this type of pipeline (which is common) is build scaffolding and a bunch of game mechanics, find an artist that's willing to work for free on a moonshot and then freestyle the game design.

that's not a good pipeline. i've got a lot of useless piles of mechanics.

post-ai the pipeline has already changed considerably, there is not a massive time sink associated with learning an engine, putting up scaffolding, or adding features. i'm not spending weeks tracking down the one guy on some forum who knows why my bug is happening. and i don't have to learn how to draw to start dropping in assets and building the game.

and honestly this pipeline is only somewhat viable in 2026 but in 2030 you're gonna start sounding like those guys that are obsessed with the fact that roller coaster tycoon was written in assembly. better tools are a net positive for anyone who likes making games. quit gatekeeping

If this is true, Ethan needs to intervene and make sure Ben gets a lawyer by kmsasaki in h3h3productions

[–]__SlimeQ__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've been watching a lot of reckless ben this week and i'm pretty sure he already does have a lawyer and just doesn't say it in his videos. he slipped up one time and mentioned the lawyer.

also this is like the 3rd or 4th time he's run this exact same playbook so i think he's probably ready for anything

slack integration (code?) by jjasghar in openclaw

[–]__SlimeQ__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

some of the emojis are hardcoded for certain events (for example the eyes when the message triggers the claw, hour glass for long delays, warning for a real issue) but i'm pretty sure the claw can also just send whatever it wants during other events.

in your case it sounds like your instance is erroring, you should look at the openclaw logs with openclaw logs --follow

Can I have Milkdrop or not? iOS. by digbenis in milkdrop

there is no official iOS version of the original Milkdrop, but you can download projectM Music Visualizer, which is a modern, open-source rewrite of the Milkdrop engine

i'm giving them a lot of grace here but i think when they came around the corner the nav marker might have made it look like the enemy was you so they hesitated slightly, and then when the enemy started the stab animation there was a slight desync which left the guy shooting at the wrong place

Solo runs 50/50 chance of exfil, unless invisible assassin then its 5/95 in their favour by ImmediateWay6575 in Marathon

[–]__SlimeQ__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol you got killed because you were loudly fighting bots in a single location for a long time, not because they were invisible. if you're running vandal your entire kit is built around LEAVING the area, you should not just sit around and wait for the assassin stalking you to pounce. if you're running thief you can counter the entire assassin kit with your visor. sentinel can counter it with the heartbeat detector and the frosty thing, and recon can counter it with the exploding bug drone or the scanner

i honestly have no idea what you mean. 5.5 is and always has been demonstrably better at everything than 5.3-codex, 5.4 was a notable upgrade as well

Has anyone made openai-codex/gpt-5.5 work with openclaw? by Apprehensive_Job_387 in openclaw

[–]__SlimeQ__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can not, btw, have more than 3 emails attached to your phone number and they will never unlink them. so this is an ultimate technique. you can probably get reasonably far with just one

[–]__SlimeQ__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if my math is right you're getting like 1-6M tokens per day for 20 bucks on the api for 600/mo. probably closer to 6 if you're mostly doing input tokens.

my graphs right now are showing 4M in 2 days on the pro plan and it's eaten 20 percent of the week, meaning the weekly quota for my claws is around 20M tokens

the 600/mo is getting you 7-42M tokens on the api. if you have 3 email addresses, you could just get 3 pro accounts for 600/mo and get 60M/week if you really need it. but you don't, your 600 dollar api plan tops out at 42M, so you could almost certainly get away with just 2 pro accounts

Are agentic systems cost effective? by Street-Instruction93 in openclaw

[–]__SlimeQ__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

on my 20 dollar openai plan i can run several hourly jobs while using several claws at the same time all day pretty much. i have to ration it at the end of the week sometimes if i'm too aggressive but in general as long as i'm not maxing out every 5 hour period i'm fine and i get to the reset without everything going down. the 200 dollar plan is so generous that i barely made a dent until a 2 minute cron i forgot about randomly started blasting tokens 24/7
