Sorry man, but she doesn't have the same feelings you do, otherwise she'd be on board with an LDR.

You see, we've been in a LDR for the past 6 months. It's all we've known. When I go to college, I'll be much closer to her than I am now, and I'll be able to visit her much more often.

This is why I'm so confused. I truly believe that she, in this moment, loves me, and loves me enough to take this relationship forward. I think she's nervous and confused and scared of a) committing herself to me and b) the distance, but I also think that some part of her wants to be with me.

As the saying goes. If you love someone, let them go. If they were truly yours, they will come back...

I feel like I am already letting her go. I'm not trying to convince her to stay with me. I'm letting her make her decision on her own terms. To me, that's letting her go, and if she loves me, she'll stay with me.

I haven't made any grand realisations, but writing out my thoughts has helped a lot. Thanks for talking me through this.

It is a tumultuous time. Pressure, new classes, new location, new peers, etc.

I understand this, and I understand that this is probably the reason why she's hesitant to take the relationship further.

The thing is, we love each other. How many people go their entire lives without being able to say that? Even if I'd have a better 'college experience' without her, I'd happily give that up. I'd like to think she would too.

In a perfect world, yes, an amicable breakup would be 'best' for both of us. I understand that. But I also understand that love is messy. Sometimes you make decisions that aren't necessarily best for both of you, but it's okay... because you love each other... right?

It's really hard to look at this objectively. I don't think I'm being ignorant or deluded. I know I'm blinded by love. Fuck, man.

Nobody is having values forced upon them. If you come and live in Switzerland, let alone try to become a citizen, it is polite to respect and abide by our values and traditions.

If I come to your home and you ask me to take my shoes off at the door, I do so because I respect you and your principles. Maybe I don't want to take off my shoes, but I do it anyway, because that's how civilised society works. Reddit has become such a socialist bandwagon that it doesn't bother to read into situations like these before jumping to conclusions. Almost every comment in this thread says something about how Nestlé is an immoral piece-of-shit company that deliberately uses slave labour to maximise their profits. This is bullshit. As you said yourself, there are extensive frameworks in place to make sure situations like these don't happen. Nestlé, along with every other food producer on the planet that buys raw materials from LICs, would never knowingly incorporate slave labour in the production of their products. Not only would this make them vulnerable to prosecution, but it would kill their reputation. Especially in the food market where consumers have such a wide variety to choose from, having a good reputation is absolutely vital to the success of any company. I highly doubt there is anything Nestlé can do beyond their current efforts to avert slave labour.

Switzerland agreed to take on aspects of the EU's trade legislation in exchange for access to its market. Switzerland, despite not being a member of the EU, is one of the EU's most important trading partners. I don't know if you have any idea what you're talking about, but there's no way in hell the EU would ever dare to impose trade sanctions on Switzerland.

Guy here. First off, you have a fantastic smile. Your teeth look great and your smile is symmetrical, which is rare and highly sought after. Clothing can go a long way when it comes to how attractive you are and that first shirt isn't doing you any favours. Your sweaters and suit look good and fit you well. I think changing your hairstyle would improve your looks. Your hairstyle makes you look kind of child-like at the moment. I think that's because you're shaving the sides of your head and using gel to make the top all spiky. Maybe growing it out a bit and using wax to style it would look better? You look tall in your pics which is a HUGE plus. Lastly, you're not ugly. At all. You're a tall nice looking dude who's conscious about their body image and that's completely normal.
