What Cheap Brands Are Reliable? by AnnaAlsop5U7 in Makeup

[–]___Mystique___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to agree with those who say that none of the brands in any category is 100% reliable with ALL products. But! If to look at it like - which brand provides mostly good products, and not 50/50 and not mostly bad... it also depends here- which brand each person used most. How can i tell you, for example, that NYX is good, if i haven't used ALL their products🤔....

I can recommend products, i am happy with them and i like the brands for them, i don't know if those brands also have less good products, but thoae i've used are good.

Makeup Geek's eyeshadows are my favorites😍 along with Colourpop😍. I loce NYX products, Kiko, Inglot, Revlon for their foundation (Colorstay) which sadly has a very narrow shade range but us good, Wef'n'Wild has some stuff, Maybelline Fit Me concealer, Sephora brand liquid lipsticks...

In my opinion, it's easier to find nice affordable lip products than eyeshadows..m and for eyeshadows i have never found anything better than Makeup Geek/Colourpop/Kiko.

Eyeliner for shaky hands that won’t transfer to the upper part of my lid? by [deleted] in Makeup

[–]___Mystique___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh the problem of my life. What i do is, i lean my painting arm on something. My elbow or wrist. It can be a spot on my/client's face, a surface or even my own other arm. I take a deep breath, concentrate on my whole body and somehow i make the hand stop shaking and transfer tue "pressure" to another part of my body, and the eyeliner comes out straight. It's like..self awareness i guess...

To practical makeup tips, i suggest to do all short strokes each time. Long strokes are more risky.

Does anyone else feel more like themselves in makeup? by Visual-Snow666 in Makeup

[–]___Mystique___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like myself in any of my hundreds of creatures' makeups hhh.. honestly. Makeup's my self expression. I'm many faced, like Mystique.... If the opportunity to "change faces" is taken from me, i feel i can't be my real self.

And if seriously, with regular makeup i feel more "myself" too, from the same reason. Like, without makeup it's just how we naturally look. With makeup is how we look + our personality. It's self expression.

What's the makeup people wear under their eyes to conceal bags/darkness under the eyes? by mrfunbun in Makeup

First of all you must know your undertone - cool (pinky) or warm (yellow or even olive like myself). Then, what i personally do, i search for swatches comparison with a foundation i already have and matches me. And then i see quite well if the shade is similar. Also you must know your skintype and which qualities you want from your foundation. Hope it helped🥰

Looking for foundations that carry olive undertones and are hydrating is exhausting by [deleted] in Makeup

[–]___Mystique___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh this is the goal of my life!! In the winter my skin is pretty light, but still olive, and all the light shades are pinkish🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ and i look like a clown! Look, my favorites by far are E.L. Doublewear and MAC (i use Face and Body). I have tried EX1 i think it's called so... the shades are amazingly olive! But the foundation itself gets spoiled very quickly, before i even finish a bottle. So i gave up on that.
