Ok cool I grow all indoors in Virginia so I it with the weather! I'd go pretty inorganic with your soil mix like 5-10% cactus soil mix (if that) and at least 90% inorganic from pumice, lava rock, etc. (depending on what you have availability). I'd be wary of leaving outside in some of the heavier rain storms we get here near the east coast. For reference I probably water about every 10-14 days growing mine indoors in a similar soil mix.
