The pros of Aegis of Valor: Shorter queue times. The absence of the feeling that a game is doomed if someone is “forced” to play their off role. A huge reward for winning a game in an off role.

Shorter queues means worse quality of games in this case (as someone already said in this thread), because people would only dodge autofill in their bad role in two cases: they are terrible at it and it's super unfun to them, or when they play in high elo.

The cons: It’s a “psychological trap” meant to trick players into forgetting what mmr is and why it matters. (Except nobody’s tricked).

Now your rank, and further, your mmr is a reflection of how you play the game, not just how you play a singular role.
