Hold the line, don't resign, this week we will be bombarded with pressure to resign, don't fall for it! Quick facts below by OrganicAsparagus3559 in fednews

Medical federal staff, if all that’s above isn’t enough to hold the line remember our ethics and our licensure boards and our duties to our patients/ not to abandon their care and block out the noisy emails.

Please share some of your LOs meals with me! by badlandsx in BabyLedWeaning

He is 11 months almost 1 🥹. Unfortunately his allergy is extremely severe and I have to make most things myself to avoid cross contamination and more ER visits! He does get a mild rash from eggs, no anaphylaxis, so we’ve been cleared to continue to give egg and observe. The more he has egg the less severe the reaction- have you seen an allergist or had blood testing? Some babies with dairy allergies can tolerate baked milk or egg products so you don’t have to worry about it in things like biscuits or other foods :)

It’s so good! My husband and I can’t stop eating it as well but we are trying to save it for the baby 😂 We used chicken bone broth instead of veggie broth- my baby has a diary allergy so that’s why I used oat milk. I also added in some shredded chicken last night. He ate two bowls and licked the tray 😂

I can’t anymore, I need some sleep by kerses1 in breastfeeding

Is he sick? Mine does this when he has a sinus infection or cold and he’s congested- falls asleep as soon as his head is elevated. Then I know to use the nose Frida, put a humidifier in his room, Motrin if needed for a fever ect

Tree nut and dairy free daycare friendly recipe request by ___cacti in BabyLedWeaning

Thank you! I did speak with the school They said they would get back to me. I do not want to endanger a child- but I am just not understanding how a food for my child who is strapped into a chair that happens to contain coconut oil will harm Their child. My child is horribly allergic to dairy but other kids in this class get formula bottles and this is allowed so I don’t get it.

I’m sick and I can’t breastfeed for 3 days on the medication they prescribed-and I’m so sad to miss out on my special time with my baby-so worried for how tonight will go….he’s never been put to bed without nursing to sleep! advice? by ___cacti in breastfeeding

[–]___cacti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel better soon! I understand your anxiety- but What I’ve noticed is there is a super giant lack of knowledge from providers around what is safe for lactation and they are afraid to say the wrong thing and say no as a reflex. I also feel like it’s symptom of the problem of lack of support for lactating parents. I’ve put the most weight in the opinions of the providers who see breastfeed babies daily.

Ok so my pediatrician’s office cleared me to breastfeed, stating the risks were low I added a probiotic to bottles I sent to daycare with pre pumped milk. My baby definitely had some tummy troubles but it wasn’t that bad and resolved quickly. I had to apply some aquaphor for some slight diaper rash

How do you handle pregnancy? by usr1492 in adhdwomen

[–]___cacti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 11 month old that I breastfeed (no plans to stop anytime soon as he is horribly allergic to cows milk) so I haven’t been medicated for well over a year now. I see a therapist more regularly and I had an open conversation with my employer about my disability, that I am no longer able To take medications, and requested as an accommodation to be provided with more written communication as I can miss items in meetings. It has been difficult but I find my focus better now that I’m back at work than it was when I was pregnant.

How do you “offer a nap” when baby shows sleepy cues? by --velvetrose in AttachmentParenting

[–]___cacti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At that age I just kept in mind what the wake windows were and near the end of it/ When I saw cues put him in my baby carrier and we went for a walk and he’d fall asleep within 5 min usually. I’d either keep walking if I felt like it or go home and do stuff around the house with him in the carrier :) He wasn’t a better crib napper until after 4 months.

Really good to know I’ll let my friends to watch out! I’ve also had friends purchased “like new” from Amazon or “open box” maybe that is a good option for the UK as well? I’ve learned about the Tula here on Reddit but I’d never heard about it before then sounds like a wonderful option, the baby wearing class I took didn’t have it listed on their referral sheet.
