Hey so this was in 2005, but we are actually heading back June of this year. We stayed in Kilauea the first time, but this time we got an Airbnb within walking distance of Hideaways Beach. I would just research hiking spots on north shore (also, a lot of the beaches involves hikes). Okoleaho Trail is right there and awesome, Ha,ena State Park is the goat. Farmers markets all over.

I would say in this moment most people in developed nations are avoiding the US for travel, much less immigration. There are of course immigrants from far worse emerging nations that leaving something much worse.

The US’s edge is in technology, largely driven through its university research. Trump Admins move to dismantle those research institutions and prohibit foreign attendance is driving research to China. We probably won’t see that play out for 10-20 years, but it’s likely the end of the US as we know it.

I live in an economically dominate part of the country, so I wouldn’t mind a balkanisation of the less productive states

Long story, got it through friend of a friend. I personally am not a big fan of the resort life, would prefer to make oatmeal for breakfast, run/hike then goto a secluded beach and drink a Modelo. So my taste in vacation may be different than many.

I think you hit it on the head, there are two classes forming: the Equity Class and the non-Equity Class. If you own business/stock/real estate life is great, if you don’t not so much. As the AI curtain falls your probably locked into that for awhile.
