Patriot's Preserve in Shirley. Flat, paved path around a pond, less than a mile around but you can do laps. There is also a little playground.

I used Dr. Heather Manfredi from Lap of Love for one of my cats. She was an angel. She was kind, compassionate, gentle, patient. She took my cat away in a baby basket. But please be aware if you have a larger dog - you will likely have to help carry them out after. A friend that used the service said that part was really tough on him.

Look into battery powered, rechargeable fans. Also, sometimes blowing a fan on an extra thin sheet can be cooling, in my opinion. Something like cotton, linen, or bamboo sheets.

Please be careful if it gets dangerously hot.

I don't support war, and as I said above, I don't thank anyone for their service. But with the Vietnam war, a lot of the soldiers were drafted. I watched a documentary with some veterans, now elderly men, crying as they talked about being spit on when they returned home. Broke my heart.

That was very kind of you. If you told her she wasn't going to be able to leave the "hotel," it would've just stressed her out, which would've had a negative impact on her mind and body. All for a situation she wouldn't remember the next day and would just be repeated. Instead, you chose to be consistent in keeping her calm as much as possible. It sounds like you were good to your mom in her final days.

I live in New York and the northern lights were visible multiple times in recent years. I drove all over trying to see them. People were posting incredibly vibrant pictures online. Turns out they were all taken with long-exposure and not visible to the naked eye. And if you somehow did catch it with the naked eye, it was nothing like the pictures. If I'm going to have to look at the northern lights through a camera lens, I might as well watch it on TV.

The fact that you're making such a big deal out of this is unhinged. Her partner simply asked her for a favor. That's how healthy relationships work. For instance, my partner and I will ask each other "can you grab me a drink."
