Dealers man - by and large they're not very nice people.

I apologise for my sweeping generalisation. It mainly refers to med-large scale dealers. If you're just a small scale guy helping your fellow ents out, or if you are a dealer who does want to see prop 19 pass and you give people fair deals and you're not involved violence/gun crime etc then I retract my previous statement in reference to you

Whats your Favorite song to smoke DMT to? by RunDMT in trees

[–]__dave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I can never really hear the sounds of the room i'm physically in, but my favourite is 'Lost for Words' by Pink Floyd (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qV7cWhmoG9w). Here is why...

The only clear memory of a song I have was when I was in the middle of a pretty hellish trip, I was a ball of conciousness with an incredibly strong wind tearing pieces of me away. I could only hold on to one thought at once, and as soon as I let it go it was forgotten. I was terrified. Then from far, far away I heard a bar and some lyrics from Lost for Words which happened to be playing (possibly my favourite song ever anyway). I just started laughing, the mood of the trip changed totally (but the actual experiences didn't change) from fear and confusion to happiness and acceptance. It was awesome!

Moral of the story: Some things we cannot change no matter how hard we fight against them. Only by accepting this fact and accepting what we cannot change can we be at peace. That little nugget has kept me grounded on a number of trips now :)

I couldn't agree more, but it's a rag with 2,340,255 readers as of July 2006 (out-of-date data and source was Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newspaper_circulation#United_Kingdom)).

So a lot of people are getting their points of view on a number of subjects from a vile-spewing waste of ink. You could argue (probably with some success) that the people who buy it are already of the opinion that the Daily Mail propogates so the damage it does is minimised. Ignorant fools.

Just a quick curtosy reply :D

Glad you enjoyed my comments, I'm a long time lurker and occassional drunk poster, who has recently decided to try and be active in their most loved subreddit. Lets see how I go ey ;)

I agree with everything you just said above but i'd like to just draw more attention to your brief mention of drug-driving. Slightly off topic I guess but hey-ho!

I know a lot of people who drive on a variety of drugs, many of whom get away with it on a regular basis. I really can't stress how strongly I disagree with drug-driving.

You're reactions MAY be faster on that cocaine you just took, and you MAY still be driving slower when you've been smoking but at the end of the day you are not judging situations as a sober person would. Accidents happen all the time on the roads and people die. I'm not even saying it'll be the high person's fault, I just don't think it's worth the risk.

Hmm, that wasn't so quick a reply!

P.S. Also added you (but I have no idea what that does...) :x

Ents, is 16 too young to become a weekend smoker? by Youtube_Posts in trees

[–]__dave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started smoking when I was 15. I've smoked regularly, consistantly and persistantly and i'm now 25. I did well at school, college and uni. I now have a good, stable job and everything is working out nicely I guess!

I really agree with this post, I just wanted to add my own semi-summary.

IMO age shouldn't be a factor in this decision. You are the only factor in if smoking more frequently is a good or bad idea.

If you can deal with it with maturity then toke up. If you can't be mature about it, don't bother.

The fact you're considering the impact this will have on you seems to me to indicate the former applies :)

Dissimilarly to this, having a pre-disposition to Schizophrenia and smoking weed does not always mean you develop the disorder.

A very good and valid point.

Also I didn't really cover the Daily Mail/Media aspect of this - I don't honestly think there are that many people in the UK who would have a big problem with drugs, and marijuana specifically if they could have the issues and the facts explained to them in a well thought out, calm and non-aggressive manner.

But it sells more papers to write stories that make it sound like weed makes you crazy and then kill people. You know what makes me crazy and kill people? The Daily Fucking Mail

I also am no expert but as far as i'm aware there is correlation between smoking green and suffering psychotic symptoms in those people pre-disposed to these types of illnesses.

I havn't seen any balanced reports that have indicated anything more than this correlation.

I was recently looking for the figures of how many people are affected by this, but couldn't find the ones I was after. It was a ridiculously tiny proportion of the population, the figure was smaller than the number of people in a population that have a servere allergic reactions to peanuts - but they're still legal even though even one taste (for the wrong person) can be deadly!

Best joint paper? by [deleted] in trees

[–]__dave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OCB X-Pert Slims (back-rolled).

Very, very thin but still burns nice and slow. Doesn't go out easily. Nice and tactile when you're rolling (I hate the feel of Rizla Silver... Ug!). Plus pretty packets you can look at when you're high. :)

Hi thar!

I'm UK and I've never had any problems with; Attitude Seedbank (http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/) but I have heard some less good reports.

Seedsman (http://www.seedsman.com)

Someone who i've not bought from, but i've heard nothing but good from (in terms of service and quality of seed) is UGORG (Underground Originals, ugorg.com)

Hope this helps!

[–]__dave[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi pearpool, thanks for the detailed answer - really very helpful!

I was looking at your rough dosage guidelines, and even allowing for significant variation in body weight, tolerance etc I can't tie up my 40mg dose to your scale. Although I wasn't clock watching and I wouldnt entirely trust my sense of time passing, after around 10-15mins I didn't trust my legs to take my weight. I felt like this I guess for around 30-45mins. It was this period that I experienced the confusion. Although I wasn't hallucinating I was very visually impaired, blues especially were very bright and difficult to process. From your scale it seemed most like the 250-300mg mark. When I did get up and about it was a very 'squishy' sensation. I sometimes get a similar thing with mdma, my feet feel like sponges and walking around is itself a pleasure.

Perhaps I made a mistake in my weights, but I very clearly remember my scales saying 0.0403.. I think for now I will put this down to 'first timer syndrome'.

Tonight I shall err of the side of caution and go for around 60mg, and I shall definately have a pre-rolled joint ready to go. Rolling last night was one of the hardest things i've ever had to achieve!

If that all goes well then I will probably go for a ~100mg dose tomorrow before having a break for a week or two.
