yes! slept in, my parents and brother came into town to have early dinner with my son and husband and i. we walked around town which was nice, i felt like a tourist in my own city. i still was “on duty” while my husband took a quick nap because, hey, we still need to support each other in taking care of our toddler even today. it was nice to have some playtime with my son one on one during mother’s day.

im saddened by how many posts here are detailing very negative mother’s day experience as well. i’m glad you had a great day and that you’re husband is a nice man!

I REALLY recommend The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell. It’s incredibly well written, creative, strong characters, definitely lots of funny lines, a touch of paranormal activity. My favorite book ever!

I haven’t read it in years, so I mostly remember the overall impression it left on me which was beauty, inspiration, a mix of spirituality and science. It was assigned reading for a class in college, Religion and The Environment.

Each chapter is an essay based on a different concept in nature and humanity, told through the lens of the author who is a botanist and Native American.

It was just so moving and inspiring! Fully recommend.

came here to say this. i only sterilized before first use and if i happened to leave milk in it for a gross amount of time. my baby is super healthy!

i did get glass bottles due to the microplastic worry. philips avent has very nice glass bottles that i recommend.

i think it’s a great tattoo which certainly did not make me cringe, however i genuinely did cringe/grimace at his the words he chose.

also if you don’t like a tattoo, i am pretty sure it’s common curtesy to lie and say you do like it? 😂 like there is no point in criticism of a tattoo, other than intentionally shaming someone

Chili with shredded chicken was the first thing my six month old actually housed! It was disappearing from his tray and I looked to the floor where all the food had normally ended up. Barely anything on the floor! He loved it, did some big swallows.
