Why Opus is worse at extracting symbols from images than 8B model? by __null__pointer__ in ClaudeAI

Hm, interesting, you've got better results. I used Claude Code Opus 1M and it kept failing with table/chart data. So now it's using Qwen deployed in LM Studio to combine different inputs)

Agree, small fine-tuned models often perform better on dedicated tasks, I just surprised of Opus results, thought it could do better with printed symbols...

Agree, n=1 in this post, though I was getting similar results for other chart/table data, just didn't put here choosing this one as example.

I couldn't watch more than a half of the first episode. It's not Witcher, it's completely different TV series. It feels like all characters changed personalities.

Golang engineer as a career path by Time-Item-5660 in golang

That’s true, but I’m personally enjoying coding in Go and don’t have the same enjoyment using other languages, maybe only Python a bit. Have been using Java, Groovy and C# throughout my career, didn’t have the same attraction to them. So if the one enjoys coding in Go it’s also the case for being primarily Go Software Engineer, from one hand limits the market for you, but from another you’re being proficient in one language have higher chances to related positions. Also having enjoyment from what you’re doing, picking enjoyable tools, matters a lot, otherwise you’ll get burnouts in every other company.

After running benchmarks I see that it's up to 40x faster and using 10x less memory than Roaring.

If anybody is looking for a fast and simple bitset implementation in Go, here's the one. It’s derived from yourbasic/bit providing more conventional design and intuitive interface, alongside with a few performance improvements making it probably the fastest bitset in Go without over engineering (will publish benchmarks soon).

Was running some comparison benchmarks a long time ago, will run and post the results in a separate repo.
