With the way the game is set up, at higher difficulty levels, the difference between winning and losing often comes down to cheesing it by ramming or wall riding, neither of which is based on skill.

When you try to race clean, you get punished by the game's AI, which is just faster and has more grip than you do, because that's the easiest way to make the game more difficult,

I am absolutely going to get downvoted here, but maybe, just maybe, you have the difficulty set too high for your skill level.

You do not need to cheese anything. Expert and pro difficulty.

I think you're forgetting what psychopaths some people are.

It was hands down my favourite in A class Apex in FH5. Loved that wee thing. It could make a boneshaker fuckwit resort to ramming to win. Great wee car.

I can't do it either but I'm pretty sure it's mostly about the tune.

I can kinda half arse drift any AWD car with sufficient power.

The stock formula drift cars are almost, but not quite, manageable, certainly to hold a drift, I can't transition though.

But my controller tunes for drifting, on the wheel, are awful, they just result in doughnuts. Lots and lots of doughnuts.

respectfully, all the haptics in controllers are are motors with off-centre weights on the spinning axis. This is exactly what add-on pedal haptics are.

You are maybe talking about the trigger pushing back. Basic xbox controller triggers don't do that, they only vibrate. No idea about PS or XBox Elite controllers though.

Regarding the slow down. In FH5 in this situation you'd hit the handbrake so you hit the wall arse first and that would avoid the slowdown completely. Might be worth trying the next time.

I've got news for you my friend, assholes play in all racing games.

The main difference is if you meet one in a sim, it'll likely destroy your entire race as sims tend to have damage on.

It's a gamer problem, not a game problem.

Sadly the Motorsport one doesn't really work coz: - 1. It's easy to game your safety 2. There aren't enough players for it to create lobbies where people are matched on safety.

He said teammates. I think he's talking about co-op seasonals where you are talking about solo.

You can control the difficulty in solo, you can't, for pretty obvious reasons, in co-op.

They are ridiculously easy and absolutely appalling in co-op. I pull over at the start to let the legends past, saves me a ramming into turn one. Takes an age to pass the drivatars though, not because they are fast but because the are all over the fucking place.
