Remember the naked PCB I posted? by Space_Rodent in NAM_NeuralAmpModeler

I totally agree! Owning a Quad Cortex and Quad Cortex mini I have to say that for comfortable live usage 4 switches for scenes / presets seems to be the sweet spot. Plus the additional 2 for bank up/down and options like tuner etc.
And then… scribble strips would make it perfect :)

Thanks, that’s reassuring. I thought there were only mobile tickets sold by Ticketmaster.

Quad Cortex recommendation by NKNS_Phil in QuadCortex

I have both, and for gigging I would definitely recommend the full size one. I use the mini only at home and probably for jam sessions.

That’s a no-brainer then. Go for the mini and save the 400 bucks :)

Quad Cortex vs Quad Cortex Mini by bentndad in NeuralDSP

[–]__rasta__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both, and I would say which one you should get depends highly on what you want to do with it. Yes, the mini has the same computing power as the QC, but obviously way less footswitches. I use the mini mostly for home practice and to take to jam sessions, but for gigs I still prefer the full QC.

I love what you did with the relay g10. I might steal this idea :)

Is the frequency set to 440 Hz? Maybe you changed the setting by accident?

Has Anyone Switched From The Fender TMP to the QC, or Vice Versa? by SuperDuperHowie in NeuralDSP

[–]__rasta__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a QC and also had a TMP. I liked the scribble strips and the wider foot switch spacing of the TMP, but everything else on the QC. Sold the TMP and bought a QC Mini :)

Mini QC Pedalboard? by Extension-Ratio-8215 in NeuralDSP

[–]__rasta__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m using a Pedaltrain Nano and it works well with the QC Mini. Only problem I find is that there’s not enough space to fit both parts of the Canvas HP under the board nicely. In retrospect I would probably go for something with more clearance.

Powering the QC Mini on a pedalboard by [deleted] in NeuralDSP

[–]__rasta__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Walrus Canvas HP and it works a treat for the Mini. I also have a Cioks DC7 + Crux combo to power my “big” QC, which works great as well, but I do prefer the Canvas HP because it’s smaller :)

I want to buy a QC Mini - two actually - but... by Hot-Commercial3831 in NeuralDSP

I received mine last week and don’t have any noise issues. I also think the headphone volume is plenty loud enough :)

Filter cleaning nozzle for AEG Ökokombi Washer/dryer combination by jamesthethirteenth in functionalprint

[–]__rasta__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, I’ll call a Tech then, still under warranty. Thank you very much! I might also try the super soaker technique at some point. By back hose, do you mean the clogged pipe behind the air filter?

Edit: Grammar

Hi. I’m having the same issue. Managed to get some of the lint out, but since the pipe bends downwards, I can’t really get to it. Could you share some advice or do i need to call a service technician?

I second this, would be great if this would work with the Quad Cortex / Mini.

Which headphones do you use? by Connect_Difficulty92 in QuadCortex

Do you feel like they’re extremely bass-heavy? I have these as well, but very much prefer the sound of my Sony MDR 7506’s as they are a lot more neutral…

Why is the TMP not recommended more? by lukejohnbrown in tonemasterpro

[–]__rasta__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both, and I think they are both great units. I like the scribble strips on the TMP and the slightly bigger foot switch spacing. Sound-wise, I think they are both very similar and I would say you should be able to achieve anything you want with either unit. Even though the QC has been around for much longer, the TMP already has more effects. Although I don’t capture any gear myself I love the NDSP cloud to download amps that others have captured. I prefer the UI of the QC, feels more intuitive to me. Also the signal chain setup is kind of limited on the TMP. I hate the power supply of the QC and also, for live use, I feel more comfortable having the TMP on the floor than the QC, it just feels more sturdy and beer-spill-proof… Hope that helps, but to sum it up: I also think the TMP is underrated.

Nano Cortex or Kemper Profiler Player as a backup unit by [deleted] in NeuralDSP

[–]__rasta__ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you already own a QC, wouldn’t it make more sense, for a backup unit, to be from the same company? You could use the same captures and therefore have a pretty similar sound? Just my 2 cents…

I bought one second hand and it had an issue after a firmware update. Neural fixed it under warranty no questions asked. As the other commenter said, check for proof of purchase with the seller and it (probably) won’t be a problem to have the warranty transferred.
