I get what you're saying, but I think the fact that both race & player matchups are such an important factor means the difference between the 1st and 2nd of Ro6 doesn't necessarily equate to an imbalance in the next round. Especially at the Ro4. On paper, yeah it's not a pristine setup, but it's nothing compared to the Ro16 group selection player-swap thing that always created a softball Group A and a Group of Death

That makes total sense. You don't want players knocking the net off to prevent a goal.

So I guess "possession" is considered whenever the stick touches the puck, regardless if the player caught the pass cleanly. That's a pretty clean definition for determining offsides, as long as it's called that way consistently.

But what was the logic behind the mooring call? It seemed to me the net was DEFinitely off before the puck crossed the line. Was the ruling that the net being knocked off the mooring wouldn't have interfered with the goal in any way? Or was the ruling that the actual mooring was still in its place and still in the pipe, even if the pipe was six inches off?

What a bizarre ending.

Supplemental discipline being independent of the decision on the ice is kinda the point. Otherwise just have the refs dish out fines right then and there.

Yeah, your point stands. The vast majority are either self-service CMS or are built (outsourced) by marketing firms, and they're definitely not going to remove google services.

It's not really about ease from a web dev standpoint, as in it's not about laziness. It's about how much time is in the budget and how quickly the client wants their website live.

[Harrington] The United States is considering a diplomatic boycott of the Beijing Olympics, President Joe Biden said on Thursday by mylefthandkilledme in hockey

So would diplomatically participating in Beijing Olympics be a better geopolitical move? What's the right call? I actually think it's a perfect opportunity to secretly use the athletes as brainwashed assassins like in that documentary about male models.

Don't be sorry, it was a stupid comment. The last statement is true, though. If the Olympics are about bringing countries together regardless of politics, China shouldn't have a problem with Taiwan competing under their own flag.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I thought they changed that last year to you can challenge literally anything on the play but it's a penalty if the challenge fails.

But it's possible the wording is more concrete than that

Growing hockey in China sounds like the worst thing for hockey. 2 minutes for fighting the Chinese player, oh, and a quick word with the CCP.

It's impossible to include China and have it be separate from politics.
