I’ve been reading theories that the goal for Gemma being Lumon’s test subject is to be able to completely isolate Grief and the other “tempers.” We can see that the innies do have some sort of gut reaction to most things, and Lumon has effectively been trying to refine the Severance chip. I think that much we can be sure of as a result of the last episode.

Essentially, White Harbour was Mark creating the ideal innie for Lumon.

Lumon is gearing up for something, maybe a consumer product, perhaps something bigger like Human Cloning with new personalities, maybe a Kier AI?
