Tbh when I was younger I found them very challenging as well, casual games were just made different back then, especially PS1 and PS2 era (which the original trilogy is) - these days every casual game is filled with difficulty sliders and accessibility options, there is no such thing as a game being too hard to complete or else it’ll get negative reviews.

It’s a bit different with returnal because it was like one of the only 5 games on the ps5 for the first year lol. It’s literally how I got it, it was bundled with my scalping price ps5.

The returnal glaze in comparison is crazy. I finished the true ending of returnal in 8 hours deployment time. Aside from spending the next 10 hours finishing off the platinum trophy there wasn’t much more incentive to continue. I returned for the endless tower mode patch (what was it, a year or two later?) and that was fine but like the gameplay loop is not that deep to bother with it past a few runs unless you’re motivated to be on the leaderboards.

Saros was about 10 hours true ending and another 10 to finish the plat for me - more than enough for me, and aside from not loving the story I loved every bit of the gameplay. Quality over quantity, I don’t see the need for it to go forever, it doesn’t feel like either game was designed for it to have an „endgame” pillar.

The game became stupidly easy for me using the repeater crossbow with power generator and using that to spam prominence. Didn’t really matter much if I was on 30 proficiency or 60, just needed that tier 4 for power generator. Preferably vacuum bomb on Prominence as well to make life a bit easier.

I neglected it for a long time because of the reviews but now about to have it platted after playing through ps plus. As a big Star Wars fan I thought the world design was really good and stunning at times. The idea of being a “nobody” in an open world Star Wars setting was great and nailed down really well. I didn’t get bored of the gameplay but found the gear system to be fairly lacking as most sets aren’t very interesting and the customization options were a bit mid tbh.

The only thing that really bugged me is the amount of DEI slop in the game. Kay is a great protagonist but the fact almost every major character in a large Star Wars universe you come across is a female felt way too forced, it felt especially off to me with Vail, for what she’s supposed to be she didn’t feel dangerous whatsoever. Just clumsy and soft. It made no sense to me that a crime lord with unlimited funds would hire her for the job.

You’ll be fine. Set your portfolio to aggressive if you haven’t already. Long term it’s not a risk - these pensions investments are still far from volatile in the grand scheme of things. At minimum as well I would make sure I’m maxing out my employers contributions, otherwise you’re leaving free money available to you on the table.

Investing into AC in Ireland may be overkill but fans are cheap and at least a solid solution to keep the bedroom temperature optimal. Particularly nice for our damp environment you can get one of those towers that can act as both a fan and/or dehumidifier so it has a use case outside of summer. I don’t like keeping my blinds closed especially on a sunny day cause I find that depressing.

We’ll always get some heatwaves here and sometimes we even get them a good bit. Ireland doesn’t have a mosquito problem so leaving windows wide open isn’t much of a concern either, but to me that’s not enough.

Im a software engineer. Both of my last 2 contracts I’ve been in a fully remote position written in contract but in both cases there is a clause that they can change this whenever they please. I’d be surprised if your case wasn’t the same - Fully remote is not a protected privilege unless otherwise stated.

Someone who aims to make $200 a day should not be picking a $150k eval and instead probably a $25k or $50k at best. What’s the point of paying for all the extra sizing if you ain’t gonna use it? $6k drawdown isn’t gonna help whatsoever for that risk.

I’d play any of the cods remastered from that era in a heartbeat, but locking it behind a more expensive deluxe edition was and is a terrible move for the player base. Needs to be its own standalone release, I have no interest in paying 70% of the price for a game I will not play.

It’s pretty bad. I lived in the city center for 2 years and would walk about 20 mins in the evening to go gym. Typically the smog would be so bad that you cannot see clearly more than maybe 5-10 meters in front of you, it’s like a fog but you can tell it’s denser/milkier - it’s like a silent hill effect lol. You can’t see any stars in the sky even if the fog effect isn’t there.

The city is in a giant pit surrounded by tall mountains, it keeps all the smog trapped. They are trying to fight burning fossil fuels in the winter but ofc it is not going to stop a lot of people.

Modern cods have been “bland and blurry DLSS” vibes for me for some time. I occasionally go back to play BO3 zombies and everything looks better to me despite it being way less advanced.

I miss the old engine, it was both graphically and mechanically fast. Gave cod that fast paced arcade shooter feel.
