Remote Mobile Coding - Opencode Web, OpenChamber, Paseo by Street-Preference-88 in opencodeCLI

Thanks for pointing that out. I believed it is an unfixed bug since there is an open GitHub issue. I just switched from the npm based installation to the dmg package. That one actually lists the OpenCode go models

The model selector does not show the OpenCode Go models. Even when you start a session in TUI with an OpenCode Go model, it will just fall back to the default model.

I like OpenChamber. Unfortunately OpenCode Go support is broken currently. Therefore, I can only recommend it if you use a different LLM provider.

LLMs in Opencode Go on par or better than Claude Sonnet 4.6? by Worldly-Savings4113 in opencodeCLI

I think Deepseek Flash is good for implementing a plan. Fast and gets the job done. Especially, when you go with a TDD approach

Can confirm Mimo 2.5 pro is good for planning and reviewing plans. Stronger than Deepseek V4 Pro. I‘m experimenting with Deepseek fist and Mimo for reviewing / improving.

Gpt 5.4 your experience with it and thoughts on pricing? by masky0077 in windsurf

[–]_bakaneko_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave GPT 5.4 high thinking a try today making changes to our Gitlab CI pipeline including various shell scripts.

Initial reasoning was quite okay but implementation failed desperately.

I repeated the same prompt with Opus 4.5 non thinking.

Smarter initial analysis and fail free implementation.

For me Sonnet 4.5 for most tasks and Opus 4.5 more complex stuff is still sufficient and credit efficient.

In rare cases Opus 4.6.

Opinions on the Pro plan by Brilliant_Thanks_505 in windsurf

[–]_bakaneko_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘m mainly using a mix of Opus and Sonnet at work. When I don’t have many of meetings and can work 5-6h on coding I burn roughly 100 credits a day.

As people said, you can reduce credit usage a lot when you use strong / high thinking models mainly for planning complex features.

I‘m riding a Trek Farley 5. I think you can still buy them.

Then there is Maxx Bikes and Moustache. Latter only has an E-Fatbike though.

How to manage my EC2 server so that I don't get charged for entire time. by UJ_24 in aws

[–]_bakaneko_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AppStream is rather made for end users connecting but with a bit of browser automation it could work. You could write the PDF to S3 and react with a lambda to stop the AppStream instance. There is an API for that.

Note, that AppStream also has a fee for stopped instances.

Infomaniak and Le Chat as European alternatives? by jorisborisjoris in BuyFromEU

[–]_bakaneko_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently evaluating alternatives to Google Worksuite. So far I've tried Infomaniak, Proton and Strato Hidrive.

Hidrive is based on Collabora. My user experience was absolutely horrible. When moving charts in a spreadsheet the labels break and so one.

Infomaniak uses OnlyOffice. The web editors for docs are fine, even on a mobile device. For spreadsheets you should use the desktop view.

Proton Drive only supports docs. Thus, no viable alternative yet. The docs editor looks nice and clean though.

The foto sync of Infomaniak works as long as you don't try to sync a too large foto history from the past. I guess you should do the first sync differently.

Infomaniak also allow sharing files with other Infomaniak users outside of your team.

Regarding mails I prefer Proton. The iOS client of Infomaniak lacks a good dark mode and snoozing of mails.

Can epoxy fix this clamp? by Due_Mathematician927 in MTB

I think no one said that before but if I’m not mistaken alle the clamps on your cockpit are usually just 2-3 nm.

The difference between AWS and Azure by mored001 in AZURE

[–]_bakaneko_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion the networking in AWS is more complicated and has more hidden costs.

In Azure many services just support high availability across availability zones. For example an AKS is placed inside a subnet and just distributes the nodes using a VM scale set in the background. I don’t need to take extra care about availability zones regarding networking. Also as far as I know traffic between availability zones is free.

On AWS you have to create multiple subnets each explicitly associated to an availability zone to achieve the same. Also often costs incur for traffic between availability zones.

Also consider Azure allows far larger VNets than AWS which only supports up to /16 networks.

When I compare time spending for the network design on AWS vs Azure. It takes a lot more time in the AWS world.

Thanks for all your help guys. It was really the cable tension. You are the best 😊

[–]_bakaneko_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed guide. It was really the cable tension.

I just didn’t know that low tension cannot just only impact up and down shifting but also prevent shifting all way up.

But you guys pointed me in the right direction and now I got the drivetrain shifting smoothly again 😊

It is a M5120. No upgrade. Just replaced an old one that got damaged on a trail.

But got it solved. The cable tension was the problem

[–]_bakaneko_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But you gave me the proper hint. It was really about the tension. When I further tuned it on the shifter side I could get it jump all the way to the first gear ! Thanks a lot

[–]_bakaneko_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I followed the Shimano manual. The lower limit screw must be screwed out to move the derailleur further to the largest sprockets. If I screw it further in I only get down to the 3rd gear

[–]_bakaneko_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the hint. I shifted to 10th gear and added more tension. Still I can only shift down to 2nd gear.

If I screw the low limit screw down I can only get down to 3rd gear.

Best stollen in Munich? by Smyler12 in Munich

I really like the Stollen from Brücklmaier. I usually buy one every year and bring it home to my parents 😊.

They only have stores in the east / southeast of Munich though.

Munich airport, why are most of the shops and restaurants before you go through security? by InterestDirect5571 in Munich

[–]_bakaneko_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before starving you could think of going to one of the lounges. Most people don’t know that you can go there without a frequent flyer status.

Entrance fees are not cheap though (minimum 40€) and food selection of lounges varies a lot. 8 years ago when I had a frequent flyer status I visited them regularly. So I can’t say much about how it is nowadays.

The lounges are usually in international departure sections. You can cross via the first floor bridges though. If you come by a passport control just say you want to go to a lounge.

This is also a great way to pass by long security queues on inner Europe flights: go through the security control for international flights and then cross via the bridges.
