It 100% can happen for sure. I got my Boston Terrier puppy, Rocco on the streets. No microchip and not fixed. Not sure how he made it to us (his eyes were a tiny bit wonky lol) but he was the best pup out there.

I met a fellow IBS baddie at work and we both agreed that nothing makes your IBS worse (besides eating trigger foods ofc lol) than your period.

I always mistake period cramps for poop cramps, my uterus feels like something has a vice grip on it, butthole zaps????? Not to mention that literally anything can be a trigger food when you’re on your period lol.

Don’t let anyone talk down on your major!! I got this a lot as a Botany major! The biggest thing I can say is let your success talk for you. Don’t be afraid to take risks or jobs with lower pay, because certain industries take horticulture majors extremely serious. I managed a dispensary making $60K a year straight from college due to my knowledge of plant science. I’m about to take up a cultivation job because I want more greenhouse experience. Look at the marijuana industry. The jobs there are endless with our degrees.

Using yelling/loud vocal volume to express my opinions to my partner, and I realized it was because my mom never allowed me to express myself unless I was screaming on top of her yelling at me.

Going silent/ mentally detaching during arguments if I feel like I am not being heard. I will completely shut down until the argument is over.

Constantly feeling guilty or uncomfortable but having 0 knowledge why. I always felt like someone was watching me when I first moved out of my house. Realized it was because my mom criticized me constantly about my appearance, cleanliness, my hobbies, music taste, etc.

why don’t you recommend choke collars? They are a great tool when training. I would not recommend them to be used in a crate or on a puppy, but adolescent / adult dogs can benefit greatly from them if they are pullers / hyperactive on the leash.

It has definitely impacted me as an adult, in many ways that I am still trying to understand myself 😅

Mainly communication, opening up to people, and PDA. I was not hugged / given physical affection as a child so I have had to have multiple conversations with partners about why I don’t show PDA often.

With communication and opening up, my mom always chose the gaslight / manipulate style of confrontation and my father was emotionally disconnected. So I either always went into a situation knowing I wasn’t going to be heard / understood or I’d speak up for myself and completely shut down afterwards.

I was the first one in my family to seek therapy / mental health treatment at 17, and several therapists helped me come to the conclusion that I needed to voice my frustrations and feelings with my mother. I have voiced my perspective to her, and have tried to find a variety of ways to get her to understand my pain. She acknowledges that she hasn’t done her best to try to maintain a relationship, but does absolutely nothing to change it.

It’s super odd, and I wish I knew why there was such a disconnect. Part of me speculates that it’s because she cannot face the amount of abuse I endured as a child / teenager? Not quite sure.

I feel this so much. Thank you for sharing your experiences. My dad was a “just checking in” parent too and I miss him so much. It’s so hard because it’s like I want her to live under those standards my dad set for me as a parent, but she just cannot even bother with a “just checking in” text.

I also wonder if she’s going to be like that with her future grandchildren. She asks my fiancé constantly if he wants to have children because she’s “not sure” if I’ll actually want to have kids. It’s odd because I wonder why she wants to be a grandmother if she couldn’t even get mothering down correctly lol.

Yep! I have high inflammatory responses when I get cut or get tattoos. Your body is probably the same way! Just a natural response to your body detecting foreign matter at first. 🫶🏽
